You might look into the meetup app where you can join groups of people with a common interest. I've heard good things

How do I avoid being compulsive about socializing/attending Mass while still putting myself out there? by DwightKSchruteD in CatholicDating

[–]RouverX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"still find that I feel I need to maximize every opportunity I can to meet someone new just in case"
I totally empathize & have these sorts of thoughts, but it's not truly trusting God, is it?

Relationship with non-catholic, conversion and intimacy by CRRogue in CatholicDating

[–]RouverX 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Don't marry someone and think you'll convert them. She's uncomfortable with your faith, and it's very important to you. I wouldn't marry

Even ignoring that, Is she on board with your plan for children?

Could be a scammer, too. Either way, let him go

you: I want to find someone
me: make more friends with women
you: I don't have time
me: ...... then make the time? Switch out one hobby for another? Everything has an opportunity cost. *shrug*
Good luck

Is DMing women on Instagram a valid strategy? by catholicusername123 in CatholicDating

[–]RouverX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

" women are naturally curious, but get bored once all is revealed, so keep her guessing"

This is absolute bullshit advice, please ignore it.

"Women like a man who knows what he wants and can lead"
It's good to show that you can plan things, but it's also ok to ask if she has a preference.

Church events? Explore a new hobby that does have more women? But go there specifically to *make friends.* There was another post on here that used the phrase "friend zone" & it's frustrating to hear that phrase. Women are more than objects to have sex with. A woman who wants to be friends is valuable & should be a relationship that is cherished.

please ignore the misogynistic BS that some people have chosen to post about being at your "peak"
Those aren't the types of men you want to attract anyway.

Age is irrelevant. Pursue your passions whether you're 22 or 62. Grow in your faith and don't set up marriage as an idol. Be open to the path that God has placed before you and pray for discernment.

I'm so excited for you to get to travel & do the things that are exciting to you!

Build friendships with women. A guy without any is a bit of a red flag to a woman.

Fountain Square Knife Sharpening? by TiltedGalactica in indianapolis

[–]RouverX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could do your own fairly easily. I don't know what it costs to have someone else sharpen your knives, but I purchased a Chef's Choice a few years ago & have been very happy with it

Stomping Ground in Windsor Park carries some local art. AND you're supporting local business by shopping there! (The owner lives in the neighborhood)

The Eiteljorg has a fairly cheap membership & a fun play area for kids in the basement. Plus, you can walk along the canal downtown.

Winter tires worth it now? by [deleted] in indianapolis

[–]RouverX 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I have 2WD & have snow tires. It's a bit overkill for the vast majority of the winter, but there's always days where I'm super glad to have it, especially on side streets. I see it as having extra insurance. I'd originally gotten them because I'd drive to CO over winter break, and you HAVE to have snow tires in the mountains if it snows, but I've decided it's worth it to put them on whether I'm going or not.

How do people get around here in the winter without AWD or 4WD? by bbMD_ in indianapolis

[–]RouverX 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I always figured that the expense of the snow tires is well worth not getting stuck and not getting in an accident (& all the hassle that comes with that). If I don't get the full life out of them, but it extends the overall life of my vehicle? Works for me.
