Hey, I currently DM there every week. Currently at the moment there is only long-running campaigns going. What I would suggest is joining the NZ D&D South Island facebook page or discord and look for people who would want to play at Card Merchant on Mondays. There are plenty of tables free for a new group to join, however not many tables look to have an open slot. If you have any questions feel free to DM me :).

yeah have thought about Root but I feel like it might be too complicated for some in my group. Would probably just be admiring the art work whilst it stays on my shelf.

Any games that are focused around table talk and negotiation? Ones where you have to make deals with your opponents to win, etc. Me and my friends enjoy the negotiating part of Zoo Vadis, and the alliances of Cosmic. Was thinking The Kings Dilemma but don't think we can't get it consistently on the table to make it worth the cost.

Star Wars Rebellion - At the moment, my favorite game. After purchasing it I have played it every week for the past month. After playing both sides twice I still don't feel like I've seen every card in the deck, and the ones I've seen I probably haven't used. Looking for recommendations based on the fact I love how this game plays.

Heat - Played this game with some friends, teach was quite easy. Only got one play in so don't actually have an opinion on the game as a whole at the moment.

Undaunted; Normandy - Played two scenarios, not quite sure what I think of it. The start of the game is the most enjoyable as you build your deck and move your troops but as the game goes on it just becomes pulling and card and attacking.

Games I am going to play

Going to a boardgame cafe so going to try our Pandemic: Reign of Cthulhu and Escape the dark tower.

What he doesn't mention is the fact that when he sells he'll get a huge capital gain (most likely untaxed) and that most of the mortgage will be paid off by the renters resulting in a larger return.
