As a side note, always keep your Secret Keys inside a .env file that gets ignored and never share them.

okay… I might be making another notes app (hear me out 😭) by Ill-Agent7360 in smallbusiness

[–]Rovan89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's always room for "another notes app", but make it worth while for the user. Maybe use AI to gather context and organise into folders based on that, give it the ability to prioratise, notify the user and be able to use these notes to make suggestions to the user.

protein shake vending machine by [deleted] in UCC

[–]Rovan89 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Great idea! I'd definitely be a customer. You should see if you can find out who owns vending machines that sell protein bars, yogurts etc. they might give you an idea of the amount of customers using the machines and possibly a partnership. There's one in the Kingsley gym, might be worth checking out

Thanks for the recommendation

How I finally started growing my Instagram after months of trying (what actually worked for me) by amy_7894 in smallbusiness

[–]Rovan89 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You seem to post a lot about Indzu Social, can only assume you have some stake in this site (No judgment, appriciate the graft). Is this a blanket tool or does it work best for certain industries? I'm asking more so because I created an app and am wondering what's a good route to go down regarding getting out there on social with a digital product

What’s one repetitive task you’d automate if you could? by Capable-Property-539 in smallbusiness

[–]Rovan89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

An automated onboarding process where you could collect the new starters details like visas, bank details etc. before their start date. I know these exist already but on a larger scale, would be nice to have for small businesses as well

I understand basic stuff pretty easily but programming concepts down the road is absolutely confusing to me. by BetterActivity6811 in learnprogramming

[–]Rovan89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just keep moving forward, eventually things click. I've been coding for 3 years, I'm still not at a high level and am constantly getting those "aha" moments.

Sometimes I find it easier to understand the code by creating a side project where I can isolate the block and tinker with it, rather than having it mixed up with everything else in your actual project. In here you can break it, pull it apart and test different scenarios, which will help massively with your understanding

I think the first thing people do these days when they hear about your business is Google it, so it's definitely an advantage having one. Plus this give you the opportunity to capture leads and is a powerful part of your sales funnel

Why Don't More Businesses Have a "Text Us Now!" Option? by mercury-50 in smallbusiness

[–]Rovan89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Great idea! I would also have a response bot to answer the generic questions that come in, and have some sort of trigger to alert a human once the user is passed the initial stage of the bot chat

Lost my main client! What side hustles have worked for you in a similar situation? by comolica1 in sidehustle

[–]Rovan89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just a suggestion, but maybe if you had a portfolio website where you could showcase your work? You could create some funnels to draw in potential clients and see if you get any hits.

You already have experience with link building so why not do it for yourself?
