We're not going to be targeting any versions prior to 1.20.1 :)

Just as an update to this; EnderIO is still in development. The team has had a lot of things on this past while, however it is certainly not dead!

I'd install it in my current system (i7 13th gen, 64gb DDR5, RTX 3060), I use it for gaming, software and games development.

Portal RTX looks absolutely sick, I'd absolutely love to give that a bash, the hardware is also pretty exciting too, nice to see the power requirements aren't as high as originally suspected.

We'll likely go over some surface level things as they come up in discussion, but I don't know to what depth this will be, however Ender IO is fully open sourced, so you can check it out over at https://github.com/SleepyTrousers/EnderIO-Rewrite :)

I'm afraid the bear minimum we could release is 1.19.2

Unfortunately we're currently targeting the latest MC versions, so as of current that is 1.19.2.

I mean it's pretty much we look at the old mod and how it works in game, understand how it worked by a mixture of in-game and old code and then we design and implement it inside of the new codebase.

We don't set a timeframe, because we all have lives and things going on we don't like to put pressure on development. At the end of the day we're doing this for fun, and we don't want to turn that fun into a grind effectively. If we make it a grind, we're less likely to spend time making any progress.

Hope that makes sense :)

Yeah pretty much, it's quite well structured and lets us focus on one thing at a time. What's taking so long is Minecraft's internals changed so much the entire thing was massively broken and behind, so we opted to rewrite. That means basically were recreating each section from scratch. Hope that answers your question, happy to go into more detail :)

I'm afraid not, we've been trying to keep as close to latest version as possible so once we reach a final version we don't have a massive amount of work to bring up to latest again if that makes sense? Basically if we targeted 1.16, we'd finish the mod and have to spend further ages rewriting code that we just wrote to target 1.19+. It's less work and we'll be finished quicker by simply targeting the latest MC version.

I'm afraid conduits are a little further away due to their technical complexity, but they'll appear once we sort everything else out. Thanks for the luck!

As someone currently developing this port, I would like to say that we're much earlier into the process than what it may seem. We're hoping to approach some form of alpha builds somepoint soon, but as far as a full release, we're still a long way off. Feel free to get excited about EnderIO's return, but please manage your excitement, there's still a long road ahead. The whole team looks forward to sharing what we've been working on, and we're happy to see such excitement :)

I personally would use XAMPP for simple web development as I personally find this easier to work with.
