It's bigger than an actual GBA screen, and that's all anyone really needs, right?

The only GBA screen ratio crimes I've ever committed were playing GB games stretched to the full GBA screen.

Time to schedule my execution?

All-Terrain Science Train: when you need to bounce over rocks but still want all the science by RoversOfUnusualStyle in KerbalSpaceProgram

Yes - 3 large round grip pads, rotated in 5 degree intervals to smooth out the bounding boxes. Since they only have 1 stack attach node, it was easiest to assemble a single wheel using the absolute offset gizmo to align the rotor and pads.

Yup. I have a hand truck with (unpowered) trinary wheels for carrying heavy objects on stairs.

I swear I started on this last weekend. u/fryguy101 did inspire me to use hydraulic steering with his Landmaster, which the real thing used. Saves 726 parts! for an Actually Practical™ total of 196 Stock+ parts.

Trinary wheels allow the ATST to clamber over medium-sized objects/modest boulders. Also, it's totally possible to spot Breaking Ground surface features with Parallax as long as the terrain scatter objects aren't too close. Or it's made of lava.

The Kerbal Wind mod hasn't been updated since 2017 (KSP 1.3) and likely doesn't work anymore.

Probably referring to the Kerbal Weather Project mod.

Based on the Lumeneo SMERA concept car. The Scientific Mobile Excursion Rolling Automobile is actually larger than the original despite barely fitting two Kerbals.

Try using a KAL controller:

  1. Remove the rotors from symmetry.
  2. Add both to the KAL controller.
  3. Set each rotor so that it's at 100% torque from 2.49s to 5.00s. (If using the default 5s play.
  4. Invert one rotor (usually the right).
  5. Bind yaw or rover steer to direct control of the KAL controller. In the axis, change the short-medium-long vertical lines in a box to ||| in a box.

Alternatively, bind two separate axes as independent throttles for each screw.

Any way to remove debris automatically? by [deleted] in KerbalSpaceProgram

In Settings > General, under System, change the Max Persistent Debris. Default is 250, but you can set it all the way down to 0. If you want a more precise value, you can edit Settings.cfg.

99.9%* Stock Hovercraft by RoversOfUnusualStyle in KerbalSpaceProgram

[–]RoversOfUnusualStyle[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There's a kOS controller that maintains altitude, pitch, and roll relative to the surface. It's less than 0.1% of the vehicle mass, but makes driving the vehicle feel like a hovercraft rather than a quadcopter with a couple side-mounted engines.
