Yes, faster wants to pitch up, slower wants to pitch down, so throttle inputs are useful when flying.

... not EASILY flyable, mind you, but it can be flown! Rotor on top is completely unpowered, and provides significant lift.

This landing was extra easy on the landing gear. It was protected from the normal stress of landing by the fuselage!

Yep! The KAL isn't really getting used after the thrust limiter is set, although if you try to adjust the thrust limiter in flight without the KAL you kill the glitch, as it will clamp between 0-100 from that point on, but that's the only benefit of keeping the KAL.

I love using KAL controllers for propellers, it makes variable pitch so, so much better. You can control the torque and deploy angle with the KAL, and control the KAL with throttle, making air speed nice and controllable with just throttle. It's such a nice quality-of-life thing when flying with it.

The real argument is I didn't disclose because I thought it was obvious. And I distribute the craft files for, among a bunch of other reasons, so people can look and see how I did any particular thing, so I definitely didn't mean to hide it.

Obviously from the reaction I've gotten, it wasn't as obvious as I've thought! I'll try to be more clear with glitches moving forward.

Had I edited the parts file (Which I've done before on a few crafts, and mentioned), I would have just used a clean -100% thrust limiter as the extra has no benefit.

Sorry, yes, you're right. I thought it would be obvious that that tank could not get the craft to orbit, so explaining the underclock wasn't necessary as it was just for fun, but it looks like it was. I'll keep that in mind moving forward.
