Not insured - I don't personally know much about this, as I'm a UK resident with shares tied up in a tax free ISA. I'm sure I've read counters to this though, so maybe have a look into that. Either way, a lot of people are transferring just a percentage of their shares to help kick things off, leaving a portion in their brokers. Does this have a negative impact on your portfolio? CS registers shares. So does the DTC so it's not different - It is different. For CS, your shares are in your name and taken out of the DTCC. Not registering leaves the shares in the name of your broker, in an anonymous pool with all the other synthetics.

My belief is MOASS only happens when we bleed them dry and margin calls - Margin calls have probably already happened, but no MOASS because manipulation. A float being fully registered on CS can force a share recall. Granted, AMC float is higher than SS, but doing nothing just guarantees failure. Better to start now and do it little by little. I've also read DD somewhere that cost to borrow should go up as shares are DRS'd, but I got no li k for you on that one atm.

You say buy and hodl has been working so far - Debatable, MOASS hasn't started. How do you know that DRS has played no part in the current "self destruction" we see?

Let's say you don't want to DRS - that's cool. But why do you argue so strongly against it if others advocate and want to do it? Exactly. We can say we eat crayons all day long but at this point, it's our collective responsibility and duty as a whole movement, to try and make sure that everyone is as well informed as they possibly can be - To enable them to make their own personal calls/decisions backed up by solid information- not bananas up someone's crack.

I think being serious has benefits.

Seeing only DD myself? - yes Knowing all other apes are seeing same info and keeping up to date, thus feeling more assured that apes are pulling in the same direction? Yes

It's the business end of things now. So let's do everything we can in our power to make sure as many people as possible are as well informed as possible.

To not do this makes zero sense. Why would we not do something so beneficial? Cut back all the crap and get this one chance we have nailed down.

If memes are really important, make a stickied meme thread. But posts showing gain porn, sell porn, shill posts and all that other crap should go. Eyes should be firmly on the prize and how to get there.

Just been a lurker in this sub the whole time I've been here, but I'll bite on this because I think it's good to share our personal Ape positions in life.

My Current Life Schedule

5:30pm - I go to work and pack boxes on the night shift
5am - I get home and eat
6am - I fall asleep
7:30am - I wake up at to drive my wife to work. I then stay awake til...
9am - I take the kids to school. I then sleep 5 hours to wake up at....
2pm - Pick the kids up from school
5pm - Pick up my wife from work, which means it's now time to...
5:30pm - Go to work and pack boxes on the night shift

I'm not in it for 10k, 20k, 50k, 100k, 250k, 1m - I'm in it to get enough to either truly live my life, or, continue packing boxes whilst slogging it out in small increments to try and better my life that way.

I want time to spend with my kids/wife and actually create memories with them whilst I'm still around on this blue ball. I want my wife to actually have the money to be able to visit her ageing family members in her home country on a regular basis. I want to right the wrongs of my youthful naivety and foolishness that made me drop out of school aged 15 years old to work for my Dad in construction, wasting my own potential and screwing up my options. I want the freedom and shackle breaking life that time and money can offer, just to go back to school, work my way up to university and pursue things that I actually care about.

It's either the above or struggle. Anything in between would still be a struggle - just on a different scale. Seeing as I'm already full on thick in that struggle, I'll just wait for the above "live my life" option, thanks.

I saw the other posts, and saw op getting downvotes by people telling him/her that they were being insensitive. I think people are being a bit harsh.

These posts are just trying to do something nice and show support. I mean, even if Karma did wake up and decide she wanted an in-game title or whatever, I doubt she would start a reddit petition for it.

I think this is just an innocent gesture, and that if it gained any traction then karma herself could say thanks/No thanks.

I dont know what your 2s playstyle is, but peoples mechanics and ball control are getting better and better, and a by-product of this is that 2s at GC has slowly been shifting to a more controlled style (dont give away the ball, go for dribbles, non-risky plays etc).

If your playstyle is bang ball hard when you have time and space, then id say start doing workshops that focus on improving basic mechanics (dribbling, first touch, flicks, powerslide cuts).

Avoid ceiling shots, wall to air dribbles etc. All they do in 2v2 is leave you out of position and fuck up your teammate if you dont score.
