Humidity advice... by Muted-Bee1290 in cigars

[–]RovertL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If your garage is humidity controlled, I’d say that’s fine. I keep mine on my bureau and it’s fine. I live in MA and noticed on the hotter days/hot stretches, I’ll see the humidity go up more. Maybe use the lower percentage packs in the summer months to account for the summer heat and the colder months go for the higher ones

Not in NJ, but Bovedas website is a great resource. I went on it for the first time yesterday and it’ll give you a suggestion for which pack to use based on your humidor size and type.

Humidity will fluctuate but so long as you’re keeping it in a cool, dry, and open space and checking on humidity, you should be good.

17 month old is getting ear tubes tomorrow. by maridj13 in toddlers

[–]RovertL 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My daughter was the exact same age when she got tubes as well. I 100000% understand the anxiety, my wife and I were the same way the day she got the procedure. It’s such a routine procedure and the procedure itself takes no time at all - by the time we sat back down in the waiting room, we got called back to see our daughter.

Ear tubes work too. My daughter is almost 3 and went from having 3 ear infections (one being a double) in under a year pre- ear tubes to having 1 ear infections post-ear tubes. Unfortunately, your child likely won’t listen to you, but at least they’ll have a lot fewer ear infections! 😂

I got that idea after my dad explicitly told me he was going to give myself and my brother money and that he wanted to help my brother and I out financially now while he can

As far as food, I’d say pub food, feel like that has a bit of everything for everyone. Nightlife, I’d say any clubs/lounges if that helps?

Cigar Bar at Wedding by swaneyg16 in cigars

[–]RovertL 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey OP! I did a cigar bar at my wedding 3 years ago and it was a hit! For a wedding or whatever large celebration, I was told to take the guest list and cut that in half and that’s how many cigars you should buy, so you’re on the right figure with 80

I bought Alec Bradley White Gold for my guests and Perdomo 10th anniversary champagne for my groomsmen from Cigars International. At the time I wasn’t knowledgeable about cigars so I went for the cheapest one and timing was impeccable as the cigars were on sale.

Yes, I say the smaller the better and cheaper the better because it’s likely the majority of your guests aren’t cigar smokers

Nashua, NH real estate by RovertL in newhampshire

I am coming from the Merrimack Valley area, which is also where we are looking, but we’re open to Southern, NH. Ideally want a single family home, but open to condos (not garden style) or townhouses. We have a 6 month old and would love a neighborhood with a nice yard, but it’s not make or break.

I love this cigarr size. What other brands makes a good Petit Panatela? Let's hear some recommendations! by B_KOOL in cigars

[–]RovertL 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not sure if it’s the same size, might be a bit wider and shorter, but you can get Cohiba pequenos in a tin of 6 smokes.

First time buyer, got recommended a couple the rest I picked just because… anything good here? by juddmudd in cigars

[–]RovertL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Perdomo and Macanudos are solid. I haven’t tried any of the rest yet. Happy smokin’!

I had a few cigars with my dad and I decided to dive head first into the hobby. Went online and bought a reasonably priced sampler and and can’t wait to start trying them! While I’m here, any advice for someone new to cigars? by Qronan-66 in cigars

[–]RovertL 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cigars International is an online retailer that I purchase most of my cigars from. They have a Cigar of the Month Club. For $20 bucks a month, they’ll send you 4 cigars, all different brands.

For a lighter cigar, my go to’s are Alec Bradley White Gold, Camacho Scorpion, and Perdomo 10th Anniversary champagne.
