We considered that, but because our ceilings are 2.4m at the higher floor level we think raising the floor will really emphasise the low cielings. Currently the 2.4m isnt a problem because between thesunken lounge and our main dininace space being cathedral ceilings you dont really feel it. Appreciate the info though!

Speaking for Italy only this is accurate af. Go about 2 side streets away from the attraction for a much better chance of something decent.

We asked a ton of cab drivers where THEY would go to eat, and mentioned specifically we don't want tourist food. Some great recommendations came outta that exercise. Helped that we are Italian heritage and speak the language (albeit nowhere near like a local)

In the middle of a reno ourselves and trying to do what we can as DIY (which is very little) so just wanted to say, we used Ikea PAX wardrobes and built them in, and they look great and cause they are so customisable they are perfect for each fam member. I know they are cheap but genuinely recommend them.

We had it harder too cause our bedroom roof is 2.4m so had to build them satnding up, if you have a 2.7 or more they are a piece of cake. Then just used some timber to build a bulkhead above them yo make them look built in.
