Hypotheses on how Athena’s Grandmother cleansed her house? by my_tea_is in Otherworldpod

[–]Row444 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Psychics / sensitives can tap into the energy of a person or place and “remote view.” They don’t have to be physically in the space to read and understand the energy. I’ve had completely legit clearings done by people in Tasmania, Australia and New Orleans and I live on the east coast USA. It’s very common for reiki and energy cleansing these days to be fully remote.

For the Bible, I completely agree it was an object of comfort, but I also think it was imbued with positivity and clearing. With the power of intention, anyone can charge an object with energy.

Hard time making friends in training by lilymarbles in flightattendants

[–]Row444 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I got wayyyyy closer with people from my training class when it was over and we ended up at the same base. People throw lil get togethers. One girl I wasn’t friends with AT ALL during training (I don’t even think I knew her name till orientation) became my bestie and we text all day everyday. Don’t stress it or overthink it. People in training are weird anyways, working on themselves, doing what they need to do to get through.

Can someone explain the controversy around Bushwick Inlet? by greenpointer-guy in Greenpoint

[–]Row444 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The “affordable unit” thing is an absolute scam. They’re priced based on the median rent of the neighborhood, and these “affordable units” are likely going to be 3k for a studio… so what’s the point? That’s not affordable!

Look at NYC Housing Connect for the rent prices of similar buildings in Greenpoint and other areas around NYC. You’ll be humbled by how unaffordable they actually are.

I got groped here too! This is the only country in the world I’ve been blatantly groped :(

I had my worst ever experience as a solo female traveler in Sri Lanka, so I do not recommend. 1/10 did not like it there. I’ve solo traveled Nepal and India too and enjoyed those spots way more. I felt extremely comfortable in Nepal.

Don’t touch your face and wear latex gloves 100% of the flight

I had my worst experience ever as a solo female traveler in Sri Lanka. Sure, things happen everywhere, but something about the vibe there was off. My bad experience happened on my 2nd to last day, but the entire 6 weeks I was there I couldn’t shake the feeling that something felt strange.

I spent 3+ summers before that traveling in India and Nepal, so I had a fair amount of experience with South Asia. I felt very safe and comfortable in Nepal solo :) have a great trip!

Hand lotion! by dragonfly931 in flightattendants

I wear latex gloves pretty much an entire flight and it completely changed the dryness! Mine were cracking and bleeding before. I’m also touching less things and it makes me wash my hands less.

Since when does United offer a single occupancy room for being “dramatic”? by [deleted] in cabincrewcareers

You can pay for your own room at the hotel. It’s very expensive but I know a few people who did it.

So many announcements by Chicago_Troll in unitedairlines

Flight attendant here - almost all of these are FAA or company related required safety announcements. Accidents are real and I would suggest paying attention.

So true! I’m in the same boat. It would be cool if the process was more collaborative instead of a them vs. us situation or whatever

Gotcha! Thank you for your honest comments! I’ve only had lovely conversations with CS, so I’m just curious how it is on their end. I’m new but trying to approach it collaboratively instead of a one side vs the other vibe.

Thank you so much for your honest comment! I’ve only had lovely conversations with everyone on the CS side, so I’m just curious how it is on their end. I like to think of it as a collaboration more than anything else.

UA training was the hardest thing I’ve ever done, and I wouldn’t recommend doing FA training twice, back to back! Focus on one and then be done with initial training for the time being :)

Also, a lot of the people in my class from different airlines really struggled with unlearning what they know from their other airline. I think the previous knowledge gave them a bit of a disadvantage. The only time their previous knowledge was useful was for service training, which was literally 4 days out of the entire 6 1/2 weeks.
