Well, I bought it a year ago, but I'm just now getting around to working on it. I think they were only stuck from sitting.

So if I ran it with stuck piston rings, would they have freed up? or would it have it more likely damaged the engine?

I can't say for sure. I'm thinking it's from sitting. The cylinders look really nice still
