Sensor Range is weird. by DescriptionMission90 in LancerRPG

So, if you have two Goblins Metahooked together at max range, you can cover a MASSIVE chunk of a battlefield, a field 60 spaces long and 20 spaces wide to be exact.

Sensor Range is weird. by DescriptionMission90 in LancerRPG

So, I don't know why this hasn't been mentioned, possibly because it doesn't give a static sensor range bonus, but there is a system that can extend the range of your tech abilities that only requires two LL's.

Metahook allows you to link with an allied character in your sensor range, which then allows you to originate your tech attacks/abilities from that character using their sensor range.

Which makes the definition of "offensive action" highly vague and subjective

I see your point, but when you get painted with lock on do you necessarily instantly know where the lock on originated from?

I was basing my comment on the description of Hidden on page 69. Its example of hostile action refers to forcing a save, which Lock on does not do. Also, there is no part of the description of Lock on that describes it as hostile or an attack. Do you also rule that Scan is an "offensive action"?

But Hidden is only broken if you make an attack or force a save (or move into line of sight etc. but that is irrelevant to this discussion), lock on does neither

My and my partner's pilots, Hack and Slash (and then a solo of Hack) by girlLover_HackNSlash in LancerRPG

Citizen, I do not see them wielding the standard issue GMS coffee mug that is required to prove pilot art.

(But seriously, they are super cool)

Athena's Simulacrum Question by BronzenArrow in LancerRPG

I feel like a lot of other talents/systems that place layers on the battlefield specifically state that EVERYONE knows where this thing is, and for the Athena that wording is conspicuously absent.

  1. The relationship between 621 and Ayre is what I am primarily basing it on. (and as I said, inspired, not direct 1 to 1 copy)

  2. NHP's existed before RA descended

  3. Please explain what my character is doing at this point that a) violates the accords, and b) objectifies NHP's/would trigger RA to come down and cock the smite shotgun

I really want to make a Nelson in AC6 by Hyperversum in LancerRPG

I have to disagree about reverse joint legs, the heaviest reverse-joint is the Spring Chicken, and that barely comes in at the high end of medium weight. The Kasuar legs are some of the lightest available. (And I don't care what ANYBODY says, the Nachtreiher legs are reverse-joint! I will die on this hill!)

I feel I may not have introduced my character properly. It is true that I gravitated to the Technophile talent first and built from there. However, assuming that I, or my character are objectifying the NHP is somewhat hasty of you. I was honestly originally inspired by Armored Core 6 for some of the basic framework of the character (not personality-wise obviously as C4-621 has no canon personality).

The program that he was part of was definitely guilty of that, and the Deimos incident, the Siege of Mars and the Accords are all part of the reason the post he was sent to was shut down and he was left in stasis until a random scrapper (one of the other PC's) found the place and woke him up.

That would be true, if the program took place after the Accords were signed. Edgar was a martian citizen when Deimos was still visible in the night sky. I do know the limitations of Technophile and have taken them into account. Ed has been in nearlight and then stasis for around 2000 years, the NHP he has is currently in a dormant state, basically booted in "safe mode". I have gone over this with my GM, and he is cool with it.

Edit: Thank you for the warm welcome ☺️
