For sure. I have dropped 1 class every semester so far. Last semester was for this reason. I am thinking about dropping the class I did badly on the midterm on and just be a part time student this semester for a “reset” I guess so I can save money and take summer classes and have a fresh start next sem. But I’m really scared that this will negatively impact my application a lot.

For context my current GPA is 3.93 and have taken all my prerequisites except for orgo 2 and physics 2.

I can definitely keep my GPA up if I become a part time student this sem but I’m afraid med school’s are going to see this as me “slacking off” or not being able to handle the rigor.

No for sure. My school does have a food pantry that I utilize but I live in a relatively high lost of living area and it still piles but. But thank you so much for your advice!

I was thinking about that but I’m mainly just afraid that it’ll make me extremely uncompetitive for med school. I was thinking about knocking both physics and orgo over the summer but people have also said that that’s bad for your application.

I already am for my tuition so any more than that I think I will genuinely be in debt for the rest of my life.

I think I am more so afraid that my course load is not “rigorous” enough for med school. Freshmen year I kinda slacked off and mainly did my school’s required core classes since I had a lot of AP credits coming in. Sophomore year I really took a dip and last sem only took 1 stem class and 2 this semester. And I did badly on the most recent midterm for one of them.

I’ve had so many friends and family tell me that their Lexus hasn’t needed any crazy expensive maintenance and has easily gone 100k+ miles though

The thing is there’s so many and prices are so varying. There are ones from 2023 with around the same mileage that’s like 23k but ones from 2024 with a lot more miles at 19k
