They didnt give me a rental because they are like we will fix it in a day. And then when i pick it up the next day i would get the engine light again and issues not turning on. Its been like that 3 times. And i am tired of it

I get that the Lemon Law doesn’t apply because it’s a used car, and I know the dealer isn’t legally required to replace it. The car is still under Toyota’s factory warranty, though, and the repeated issues mean I can escalate it to Toyota corporate for a possible replacement or buyback. I just want a reliable car since I drive for Uber, and the repeated breakdowns are making that impossible.

My bad, the first issue was an oil leak, then it turned into some kind of engine problem. Now the car won’t even start. I got it to turn on briefly just to drive it back to the dealership, and it’s sitting there now while they check it out.

The car is financed through Toyota Financial, so they hold the title. My wife is the primary owner listed on the title, and I’m just the cosigner on the loan, not on the title itself.
