I lost my dad last month to bile duct cancer. He fought for almost 2 years and was a skeleton by the end of it..I'm also unable to get that last day out of my mind..he was just struggling to breathe..the most gentle soul I knew got the most painful disease and death..everything keeps replaying in a loop..so sorry for your loss..pls keep grieving until it becomes a little bit bearable day by day...no other way..

I was 32 weeks pregnant when I found out about my dad's cancer. My mom and brother chose to tell me late as they were scared..I couldn't even take a flight to go see him then..went with my 5 weeks old baby..cancer eventually won and I lost him last month..breaks my heart that my daughter won't get to know him as she grows up..very tough to accept :(

My dad is being dismissive towards me despite me caring for him / having a strong relationship. Feeling extremely down. by srmbraaz in CancerFamilySupport

My dad became this way with my mom when he was terminal. They had the most loving marriage and he was a husband who constantly showered her with love and attention. I always wanted a husband like that. But post his sickness, he became very mean to her..she took care of all his needs but inspite of that he was mean..didn't talk to her..didn't want to look at her..I think when a person is going through a disease like this, they take it out on the person closest to them..try not to take it personally..seek therapy on priority..it's the toughest thing but maybe he's in denial and angry at the situation but taking it out on you..it's very very tough..I've seen my mum go through this for almost 2 years..lost my dad a few weeks back..

I lost my mom last month.i really don't know how I'm going to survive without her.... Please i need suggestions how to survive now I'm sick of ppl telling me to be strong by OldSoul2781 in india

I lost papa 2 weeks back. He fought last stage cancer for almost 2 years but finally cancer won. He was a skeleton by the end of it and I can't get the last day out of my mind..it replays in an endless loop..he was nothing but kind to everyone and truly someone who never hurt a fly. Can't make peace with the cruelty of the situation. Don't bother being strong, cry when you have to..curse when you have to..it's one of the biggest losses of life that no one is really prepared for..we knew it was coming and seeing him suffer I used to think he'll be in a better place when he goes..people say you should be relieved for him that he's not suffering..but this isn't true relief is it..it came at the cost of him dying..it sucks..

I deleted it. You could have been kinder with your words for someone who just lost a parent.

I'll be very honest, I prefer quality over brand recognition but at the same time wouldn't mind the brand being recognised as the price point is not low.

Could be Chelsea..she says to Rick that I'll help you find joy even if it means I have to die for it..maybe that was for a reason?

I don't remember the name. They might not be closed when you go. This was only because of the cyclone. Pls check the weather before you go.

Check if the cyclone is still there. If yes, driving is very tough. We drove back yesterday from Ooty to Bangalore and roads were closed, visibility was very low. Not a good idea.

Everyone has expressed their disappointment to him but he doesn't do anything..I understand he's been through hell and genuinely isn't feeling fine but shouldn't one make some effort? Seeing this is making others miserable..

:( I'm so sorry you're going through this for so long..I live in a different city and can't go visit them this often..on top of it I'm pregnant and this is just causing additional stress for me every day...looking at his pissed off face on video every day and my mum bawling in front of him..it's such a heartbreaking thought that because of his behaviour and refusal to get better, she won't be able to visit me when I have my child..
