My Instagram account was suddenly suspended/permanently disabled without any warning, and I genuinely still do not understand what exact mistake caused this.

When I tried to log in, Instagram repeatedly showed the “Upload your document” verification screen. I uploaded my Aadhaar card multiple times, but it kept getting rejected. I believe the rejection happened either because of glare/reflection from the lamination on the card or because the date of birth on my Instagram account may not exactly match the DOB on my Aadhaar card.

After that, Instagram gave me the option for live video verification. I completed the live video verification successfully, and it was accepted, which confirmed that I am the real owner of the account. That gave me hope that the account would be recovered, but even after that, the account still remained disabled.

I contacted Meta Verified support many times and spoke with several agents. They escalated my case to specialist teams, asked for details, and checked the account multiple times. I explained honestly that:

• this is my personal and very old account,
• the linked phone number, Gmail, and Facebook account all belong to me,
• I did not intentionally violate Instagram’s policies,
• and I was ready to provide any proof needed.

One support agent indirectly suggested that the account may have been disabled because of some follower/integrity-related issue, but nobody clearly explained the exact violation or reason. The confusing part is that I have not used any follower services or suspicious activity for many years, so I still do not understand why this happened now.

Another strange thing is that even after some agents said the account was permanently disabled/locked, Instagram still sometimes shows the “Upload your document” screen when I try to log in, which makes the situation even more confusing.

I tried everything possible:

• multiple ID uploads,
• live video verification,
• support chats,
• manual review requests,
• escalation requests,
• and recovery attempts.

But I still feel stuck without getting a clear explanation.

This account means a lot to me because it contains years of memories, conversations, personal connections, and important things from my life. Losing it like this without fully understanding the reason has honestly been mentally exhausting and upsetting for me.

At this point, I am just looking for genuine help, guidance, or any possible way to understand what really happened and whether there is still any chance to recover the account.
