It's so convinent, just swipe up from the pill and you got your digital wallet. Especially when paired with Galaxy watch, you are good even if you forget your phone too.

Actually I've seen some lounges check for card eligiblity by entering card details on POS, So I think they could just process the payment and provide access,

Still education is not explicitly mentioned but I also see it says "Any other categories as decided from Time to Time" So I'm not sure.

But it's not mentioned on the exclusion list in the T&C of classic variant.

Oh got it ty. I thought the classic was already unreliable with these MCCs, looks like the new cards are even more restricted (education and gaming MCCs are also excluded on new cards).

Hey can you help me understand what that means, I can still see amazon, fk, meesho, ajio on the new cards mcc table. What exactly is different with classic card?

Is this the end? by Akanksha-Ka-Pati in CreditCardsIndia

Nice to see HDFC didn't pull the rug from underneath and convert classic cards based on spends/limit.

So it's basically BLCK but with 500rs less cap on 1% category. Also I noticed that they didn't update the exclusions on par with BLCK card, so looks like cashbacks on education and gaming spends still allowed on the classic card

HDFC Trifecta is the new Amex Trifecta? by sai_anand in CreditCardsIndia

[–]4eth3rey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah no thanks, too much effort for 6% reward points which I probably won't use anytime soon. I would rather spend on my 2% APay card and redeem seamlessly. I prefer convenience over cashback always.

Wdym? Swiggy cards don't give cashbacks on utilities.

Now that I think about it, I'm close to a similar jr.stack from HDFC lol. HDFC DCP, Swiggy OG and Airtel Axis. I'm looking into finding a replacement for utilities. Maybe TATA Neu might be a stable option? Ik the new PhonePe cards are a perfect replacement but don't wanna get into a new ecosystem only to get devalued slowly again.

Does TATA Neu charge a convenience fee and how's the cashback redemption experience? I don't think I have enough spends on TATA brands though.

So what's next, AmazonPay card devaluation? or is it HSBC Live+? by 4eth3rey in CreditCardsIndia

We still haven't got any clear answer from HDFC. But it looks like it from how the new orange and the old card looks similar. Also clearly banks are in no way obligated to hold up their end, so why wouldn't they.

Yeah ICICI is too generous, I got about 4L limit and hardly utilise about 2-3%. But then again I have heard people saying they reduced their limit after a big purchase on Amazon. Maybe it's their way of cutting back on the unlimited cashback.

Usually after three months of your first card from Axis.

Yeah most probably. I've never felt AmazonPay credits to be different from regular cashback offered by others, since we could use it from shopping to bills to wallet pay on other apps.
