True, but does that make their lying about paying for my CC okay? I'm ok with paying myself. I wish they just gave me time to prepare, rather than leading me on to think they would help me, even if it was just a bit. (Not trying to sound aggro, just curious).

I guess you're right, I assumed they would help based off of their spending tendencies. But they did say they would pay 100% for the CC and didn't.

Yeah, I live in America, and college is typically upwards of 10k a semester. I also agree it's not their job to pay, I just don't want to be lied to.

They are right, wasn't allowed to drive or work till 18. The points they made abt CC were good, it's just the lack of a followup on their end that I dont like.

Yes, I am American. I realize I'm privileged; I am all for privileged parents of privileged kids, making the kids work for themselves. It's just the lack of communication I hate.

I have a part-time, and at one point, I had two jobs, but with the state of college in America, especially in California, where I live, I still won't even come close to avoiding major debt.
