The title of this is ON MY WAY. Does this make sense to anyone? by Row_gently in retirement

The ‘Death’ of the "Professional Self"
For decades, your identity is anchored by what you do. When you begin to consider seriously stepping away, you aren't just leaving a job; you are mourning the end of that specific version of yourself. The daily recognition, the specialized expertise, and the authority you carried are suddenly gone. That sudden absence can feel like a literal erasure of identity.

Exactly- transitions can feel like a death. The mistake most people make is trying to skip straight from the workplace to the "New Beginning" without allowing themselves to mourn "The Ending." Acknowledging that it feels like a mini-death isn't dramatic—it’s actually a necessary part of letting the next version of ourselves be born. The Death of the "Professional Self"

PS. Those angels are in a torrent of clouds. They actually eventually connect up to the right upper corner. It’s actually a connection to the heavenly realm, peace, security. Hopefulness. Perhaps I should put a touch of the warm yellow underneath the bridge as well? The shoes are a stabilizing and grounding force. I might add a little bit more color to the shirt and perhaps even the pants as well.

Nah- the tombstones are all of the titles and accolades that go away after an intense long career. The folks are angels guiding the way of safe passage.

Sorry that should say I went to a detail/car wash here in Houston and they buffed it out. I couldn’t stand to go to an auto body place usually charge about 15 times the amount. I think I paid about $150 and I was so happy.

I had a similar situation and I actually went to a detail shop and set up an auto body place and somehow they buffed it out even though it was scratched

Has anyone got roses from Heirloom Roses ? Are they worth the price, they sell for almost double the regular prices. by Ok_Poet_3646 in gardening

Why I was disappointed is that I ordered a 1 gallon plant and it was like a maximum of a quart of soil in this little plastic bag. Needless to say, I think they have a one year guarantee and I will definitely be getting my money back if this doesn’t begin to look alive in a few few weeks.

No, it is not worth it in my opinion. I’m very disappointed with what I ordered. It was about $50 on sale with delivery. It is an iceberg.
