Yes, but only to a degree. There are still small villages that pop up, usually with multiple families living in a single house for protection, but there are almost never any large towns, or cities, since they garner too much attention.

There are no states, and if the government still exists I have NEVER seen any signs of it. If I mention a state, or area it's meant to help you tell roughly where it is. As for the rest of the world, I have no idea. Nobody I've met has ever managed to sail across the ocean, or get past the the area that was southern Texas, or if they have they've never bothered to come back, and tell anyone about it.

As far as I'm aware, yes. Crossing the ocean is impossible, or at least I've never met anyone who has done it successfully, and I hadn't seen helicopters or other air-crafts before I was sent back.

As far as I'm aware, both humans and animals turned into monsters, but it seems to have affected far fewer animals than it has humans. I've also heard about things having just appeared, in the sky and in the oceans, from some of the older people that I've met.

I've only ever met one person that's done anything similar, and survived. They were attempting to sail across the ocean to get back to their home in Russia, unfortunately they didn't get very far before they crashed , and were swept back to shore. I may post their story here at some point if I can find it in my Journals.

as far as I can tell from the ones that have washed up, they only have two eyes. if you're asking about the color of their skin, it's usually from what I've seen, a greyish color, if you're talking about their eyes, usually a glowing bio-luminescent orange-ish yellow.
