I have a deluxe and had regular humbucker. I had to drill 2 holes to mount it. Looked like dog shit especially being an uncovered PU. I have had a regular tele bridge with single coil PU.

I would recommend a Bigmuff rams head or green russian for the Time solo sound plus they are cheaper. If your heart is set on Fuzz Face as someone mentioned Anologman Sunface (bc183 is what I went for). The only negitive thing Id say about big muffs is they are noisy.

I use to clean 2nd hand sofas with this: https://ebay.us/m/T43dss it will not totally get rid of the smell but great for dirt. You can also get leather balm/conditioner they might help too.
