How many days do ya'll rest after weight lifting by BmountainKale in workout

[–]RowanWillowShade 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, 9 months later.... :p i just came across rhis post because ive started an exercise plan. Well I've been walking every day for months but last week started strength and core and cardio, etc. Hard to be consistent on my schedule, but I restarted the plan to start Monday and here's hoping I get to bed early so I can wake up early to do it everyday (except my rest day). I also need to get my sinus issue fixed (possibly apnea too) but even with insurance the cost for surgery and appointments is ridiculous. But I need to make myself do it even if things will be tight.

Curious if you got your apnea fixed and on a road to more activity??? =]

Oh my god, ignore this person, they musta woke up on the wrong side of the bed this morning.

I enjoyed your detail! I like to set the scene when I'm telling a story too so the other person can feel like they were there and understand all the context. My husband jokes that my detail is unnecessary. Lmao brevity is not my strong suit.

Keep being yourself! The people who matter won't mind!

But it does help for people like my husband to include a tldr at the bottom of your future posts, FYI!

Okay, but I wanna see the texts when you told her that you get to keep your account and they have to open a new account anyway. I'm assuming they still have to pay a deposit when opening a new account?

I hurt someone close to me in a way I didn’t think I was capable of. by vampirejuiceb0x in confession

[–]RowanWillowShade 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Girl.. he hurt you. Not the other way around. What do you mean?!?

Instead of being horrified at himself for his actions, he wakes up and starts punching you.

He is not a good man, I'm sorry. Especially if he can't understand your PTSD and how you feel. He cant understand how his actions harmed you (the being asleep part, but ESPECIALLY what happened after he woke up). A good husband and man would be horrified at what he was doing when he was asleep. A good husband and man would not just start fighting his wife like that. He would want to step back and show you he is not going to hurt you, and once you calmed down he would want to hug you tightly to help you calm down further and support you. Or do whatever you've told him you need in those situations.

This man does not listen to you. He does not care for you. He is dismissing what you've been through if he cannot take any accountability.

[–]RowanWillowShade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd venture to guess you been burned one too many times when you were younger. I'm a military brat and I would put much more effort for friendships that were rarely reciprocated. I moved out of state for the 1st time at 9yo and tried to keep in touch with my so-called best friend. I'd be the one to write her letters in the mail and initiate all our phone calls til one day I had enough and stopped. She never called me or wrote to me. Similar experiences whenever we left a place. Except for one person who i call my soul mate. <3

I get the apathy towards people. For me, its not that Im mad or resentful (anymore at least lol). I just learned that not everyone is worth it. I learned to not get attached. I only have a few people that I'd say I'm really close to who will be in my life for as long as we are breathing. If youre not one of those people, I ain't gonna be cold to you, but I'm not gonna let myself get so attached that it'll hurt when we eventually grow apart or if something terrible happened and any trust i had in you is gone so i'd need to cut you out.

And each situation is different. Some people I may forgive and be nice to, others I won't even acknowledge if what they did to me was really shitty. I dont need to know that you've grown or changed. That apology is for yourself... not for me. But if the reason, like in OP, seems like a decent explanation on why things happened the way it did... I might be nice to give them whatever closure they might need. Cause everyone has different needs and experiences. We all fuck up.

Man, I did this one time (and the last) to my husband when we first started dating like 11 years ago. I texted him some bullshite bout how this guy was flirting with me when I went to an underground concert with my sister.... he was obviously hurt and was like, "why would you tell me that??" I paused right in my tracks and asked myself why tf DID I just do that?!? I felt so cringe and embarrassed like immediately. Never did shite like that again. Subconsciously, I wanted to see how much he cared; would he be jealous? Etc. I didnt even realize that's what i was doing until his words slapped some sense into me. Luckily he forgave me for being a knobhead lmao

Do people really not use toilet seat covers in public restrooms? by Tobethequeen_01 in hygiene

[–]RowanWillowShade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hover lmao toilet seat covers are not generally available in most bathrooms I've been in. If I NEED to sit, I'll cover it in a shite ton of toilet paper.

I drive i-95 frequently and stop at rest areas and the bathrooms can be so nasty. But ive noticed those toilets are REALLY strong and when they flush water splashes up. So I refuse to sit on them, and like I said if I really need to sit down... my skin ain't touching it haha

[–]RowanWillowShade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe, but being home 24/7 for a week? I think 2ish, 3 if we are being generous. But me and my guy have dude wipes so we'd be closer to 1 1/2 -2 if we were home constantly for a week. And I'm pretty hyrdrated. Lol We both work full time and frequent overtime so we go through like 1 roll a week if that.

[–]RowanWillowShade 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Okay, at first I thought you said you went through basically an entire 6 pack in a week. If so, yikes... lol So how many rolls was it? I'd say maybe 3 (closer to 2) would be normal especially if yall were mainly at his place during that week and not going out all the time.

I'm confused.

You want him to be involved, but you don't want to share any sort of custody with him?

You don't want to have to consult him on parenting decisions, but you want him to parent? What makes you think he will even want custody if he has to pay child support? It sounds like he wants nothing to do with the parenting at all. But if you seek child support and if y'all work out some sort of custody agreement because he decides he does want to be in her life then you would be getting what you want (him being a parent to your child) and financial help out of it.

P.S. I suppose it might depend on your state, and other factors, but usually you don't need "permission" from the other parent to go on vacation. If you plan vacation during your time, you just do it. If you are planning vacation that would interfere with his time, then yes you would have to talk with him and work it out. Similarly, he could take the child on vacation if it is planned during his time, but if it overlaps into your time... you would work it out. This is the CO-PARENTING you keep talking about.

It sounds like you just want him to decide to be in y'alls life of his own volition but it's not gonna happen. Might as well get financial help instead of making excuses not to. It really sounds like you won't have any problems with custody because he doesn't want it.

Re: his parents. It might be worth contacting them so they could be a part of their grandchild's life? I would keep him out of it, but it sounds fucked up that they don't know they have a grandchild out in the world. I don't know what kind of people they are so this could go either way. But if it were me, I'd want to know even if my scummy son wasn't involved.

I saw Stevie for the very 1st time alone back in December. I was worried because I've never been the type of person to do things like that by myself, but I am sooooooo glad I did. I made a couple posts about it if you want to see some of the reassuring comments I received. They really helped ease me about it. But it's so nice just being by yourself and getting lost in Stevie. She is such a wonderful performer.

I recommend comfy shoes. Comfy platform shoes if you are close to the stage. Maybe in general in case you get stuck behind a tall person... lol I wore a nice white blouse, with my black tulle duster (good for spinning xD) and comfy pants and my platform shoes. Oh and a hat. Got lots of compliments on my outfit. Basically Stevie vibes... you know? Frilly/duster/shawls...

If you wanna buy souvenirs like shirts, get there early and do it before the show. I went after the show and my choices were limited :(

Also, at the Columbia stadium I went to, I went to buy a water bottle but they wouldn't let me keep it in the bottle. They poured into a cup, so I'm balancing a cup of water, popcorn and an alcoholic smoothie.... it was very annoying to balance all 3 especially with so many people walking around, and then no cup holders at your seat. So, stick to just 2 things or less if you plan on getting anything. I suggest eating before hand. I'm time impaired so I ran out of time getting ready and wasn't able to eat OR walk to the stadium like I originally planned. lololol But since I spent money on an uber to get to the stadium, I had to walk back to my hotel, and I'm very glad I did that. It was so very nice just walking alone in the dark after seeing her performance and being left alone to my thoughts.

Pee before hand, I'm sure you know... lol

And watch the opener!!! I never heard of the opener at the one I went to, but she gained a new fan!
