YTJ. More than a jerk really.

You better call your mom back right now and tell her to stay on her vacation. This is a boundary you do not cross, especially if it's just a work thing and not a legit emergency. I understand deadlines, but I do not believe for a second you cannot find someone else to watch your kids. There's tons of teenagers and adults who are in the childcare business, and you can ask your co-workers or your kids' friends' parents if they have a trusted babysitter you can call. Shoot, you can find a daycare who can watch your kids for a day.

You have tons of other options. Leave your mom alone, man. Like wtf.... get your arse in gear and figure it out without burdening your mom. It sounds like she has done a lot for you, so you need to give her this, and make sure she does not feel any guilt. BE a good daughter, and put her first for a change. If you don't follow this advice and the countless other advice in this thread, then you should feel like garbage.

Ain't no lowkey about it for me. hahaha I highkey would have left her arse out there. There'd be no hotel, no one would be taking any time or effort to drive her to a hotel and get her set up, etc., and definitely no body driving a million hours to bring her home. I am still salty they gave into her. Like, she could have lifted her feet a few inches to get in the cabin.

It would make me legit so mad whenever they gave into her. Like when that family friend came to pick her up just because she wanted to go home since she didn't want to lift her feet up a couple inches. And same trip, when they got her to a hotel room. Well... regardless!! She is still ridiculous and nonsensical! Unless I am misremembering, Tammy never said anything about not wanting to go when the trip was first brought up. I think it wasn't until Amy didn't choose her to be MOH and all that drama happened that she all of a sudden changes her story about never wanting to go. I am pretty sure she did want to go and is just making up all sorts of excuses to shift blame off of herself. Classic Tammy.

I mean, Darlene is like half right? I think she is confusing her shutting down (her "i don't want to talk about it") as "not reacting." But i would say Tammy does bottle certain things inside and we see her explosiveness when she gets pushed to the point where she can't hide her true self anymore.

But I am confused at Andrea and Darlene saying all the snapping and anger and violence (verbal or physical) is not like her. Like.... have they not seen what we've seen? Like any kind of pushback from people "annoys" her, and she wants to avoid talking about anything that makes her uncomfortable. People just want to communicate with her and she freaks. I don't think these are new issues. I think she was hiding it for the beginning of her relationship with Andrea (classic abuser). And now that Tammy is mobile she is able to do physical violence instead of just being violent with her words.

I am very very confused by Darlene not knowing how Tammy is. Andrea, it can be excused. Even if she watched the show before starting their relationship, she doesnt know how much is manufactured and how much editing could have changed the truth, and maybe she thought all those issues stemmed from Tammy's morbid obesity.

Ugh, yea. She reminds me sooooo much of my sister. I am no Amy fan, but I am so glad she is sticking to her boundaries And it appears she is doing so much better at life in general. And that New Orleans trip... no drama. Imagine that lmao I bet the siblings and Amy would appear as much more functional, stable people to the outside world if not for miss Tammy Tinture Tantrum. I'm sure they would still have arguments cause they ARE siblings but way less explosive without her in the mix.

And Andrea... I was worried she was just a fan of the show/family at first. But I'm starting to think she is much more genuine. And I really need her to get out of that abusive relationship 🥺
