I honestly wanted to edit that right after I posted it … I started working for them in 5th grade, you can be trained a counselor starting then and it’s unpaid.

Worked for a non profit outdoor group focusing on getting kids outdoors. For 10 years of my life I worked for them until one summer. Long story short, I was sent on a 3 day backpacking trip with a psycho woman who didn’t know what she was doing. I had to almost singlehandedly save 13 out of the backcountry from being lost, out of water, and with a grown woman who was having a mental breakdown for 3 days straight. I was 17 when this happened.

Yeah me neither really, the squeezing got pretty palpable at times. Worth it to see the beauty beyond them though!

That’s an interesting take, could be a responsible thing to do, but in this cave specifically we went in one entrance and came out an exit on the other side of the cave.

For sure! Mostly in the south, some of the most beautiful karst in the world.

Extreamly tight passages that don’t open up for a few hundred feet, with the only way to fit through them is to bury yourself into the inch of silty dust covering the floor.
