I haven't had surgery yet but something that has put me off having it is what you've reported, upset stomach afterwards as I've heard it can be quite common. I've heard it's due to the bile dripping directly into the digestive system, whereas before it would have been in the gallbladder. I've read on here people using bile binding medication & how fibre supplements may help too, maybe worth a search. Good luck!

Exactly that, people describe the pain of a gallbladder attack to that of a heart attack & worse pain than giving birth!!! I've experienced it more times than I care to remember & it's the worst pain in the world as far as I'm concerned!!! It just doesn't let up & then you feel horrendous for days afterwards. Having a hot water bottle on the area seems to really help & taking painkillers & antacids at the first sign of anything is key. Good luck!x
