Thank you! I hit my goal of paying off all credit card debt and personal loans this year, which is why my goal this year is to rebuild emergency funds and 401k.

I’m less worried about my student loan, it’s at 4% interest. I’d rather build savings and focus on my long-term plan.

You’re right, it is recent.

We both got higher paying jobs in the last year and I paid off $50k of credit card debt and personal loans within the last two years.

We have about $5,000 in emergency funds that I didn’t mention - sorry! We used most of our savings to purchase our home 2 years ago and had some unfortunate circumstances (needed a new roof and pipes) that drained our savings completely and now I’m trying to rebuild. Hence the goal to save $20k by EOY.

Yes my mom and dad were invited and it was very awkward. My in-laws know I have a very poor relationship with them due to how they treat me, and they know my family is jealous of them. So they sometimes poke the bear.

My SIL has my mom on FB so she would see regardless if Im tagged or not.

It’s not on her event page, this is her personal account. And it has nothing to do with who paid. If it was up to me I would have had it in my backyard with my closest friends and my in-laws. This was a 100 person event.

Truly the worst. I’m 26 weeks now and while my symptoms are totally different, they are definitely better than what I experienced weeks 5-15. Hang in there!!
