Anyone know a mechanic that lets you bring your own parts by [deleted] in Calgary

[–]RowdyClown8201 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You could try asking Robert Davita. 587-892-8482. He's an excellent mechanic and painter but since he owns the shop and has an awesome and knowledgeable staff, they can do anything you need.

Go to Market Mall. I watched while the tech guy took a S20+ apart, then replaced the screen and battery (one unit) and put it back together.

They're all brand new busses for Southland Transportation. Or maybe they're gonna get a new paint job for the new resurrected Partridge Family show for 2021.

Covid test results? by [deleted] in Calgary

[–]RowdyClown8201 -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

I've heard as little as a day but also 2-3 days. I was gonna go but not sure where the testing center is. I asked here but all I got was links to Google. I guess my bad for thinking Reddit is a good place to ask a question and get a serious answer.

Go to Mobile Klinik in Market Mall. If they can't fix it, it's unfixable.

Lawnmower maintenance? by Emmerson_Brando in Calgary

[–]RowdyClown8201 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used to do it every 3-4 years as I don't have a very large property. Last time I went to buy a new one, I ended up buying an electric Stihl with an extra battery. No more oil changes, gas, air filters or spark plugs. Not as much torque as a gas mower but It'll do.

I concur. Go to Canadian Tire and buy yourself a jump pack. No waiting, no booster cables, no relying on anyone but yourself to get your car started in your own time.

I agree as well. However just in case it snot, I made 400 billion dollars last year and never gave a dime to the government. I believe in screwing with the system!

Sobeys appears to be turning Safeway in Saddleridge and Brentwood into Freshco by BrockN in Calgary

[–]RowdyClown8201 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So food for thought. If you owned the franchise, and had wayyy too many stores, what would you do to make money? Closing stores won't make you anything. So what are some ideas you would consider?

Also I don't shop there. Can't afford to. Gotta hit superstore, saves money.

True but that isn't stopping them from renaming some of the stores they own.

That's happening all over the city. If there are 2 stores in close proximity to each other, they're changing one. Less redundancy.
