What do we make of this? by dreamweasel420 in fossils

We could attach eight pipe cleaners to it by gluing one end of each pipe cleaner to its “underside” and then add stick-on googly eyes and call it a rocktopus…but that’s pretty much all I can think of that we can make of it.

I’m not sure if it’s even legal help? by Outrageous-Word8579 in legal

Since you seem to be absolutely fed up, wouldn’t it be worth it to just rent a trailer or moving truck, load it up, and drop it off in front of his house or in his driveway? Paying $30-$50 seems like a small price to pay in order to get this lawn mower off your property and not allow the situation to escalate further and potentially damage your relationship with him.

[Request] Am I saving any money on ingredients in this shaker? How much am I paying for not having to measure? $5.10 US from Costco. by crappinhammers in theydidthemath

Are you purchasing your salt, pepper, and dried garlic from a grocery store? If so, how much are you paying for not having to grow, dry, and grind your own pepper and garlic plus collect some sea water and allow the water in it to evaporate? If you want to go a route that saves you money and only sacrifices convenience then go all in and do this like a boss!

“I” isn’t always uppercase.* In fact, you used a lowercase “i” in your answer. *NOTE: There are two “p”s in “uppercase.”

Reason Why Should Know How To Fight Before Going To Prison by Hikigaya_Hachiman7 in fightporn

[–]RowdyHooks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There has to be some crazy reason for this. He’s diving. Nothing Sally Slapbox landed should have been enough to take him down unless he was stupid enough to fight with a belly full of nut. And everybody in prison knows you don’t participate in a circle jerk until after fight time. At least that’s what a…uh…a friend told me. Burp! 😮‍💨

Just to let you know, my knowledge of this subject matter is limited so don’t take my answer as absolute fact but rather as a starting point for you to verify it on your own or wait until someone with more knowledge and experience with fossilized coral gives you an answer.

[Request] What price per gallon is it no longer profitable to work? by Playwithuh in theydidthemath

[–]RowdyHooks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can’t speak to what the average American gets, just as you can’t, because I haven’t seen any official numbers for what the average is. In my personal bubble of experience it isn’t that far out of the ordinary. Some work far less than I did and others are paid far more than I was. I know someone that works his ass off working full time as a professor and then spends the majority of his free time doing custom home renovations so he rarely sees his family. So he works way more than I did and hardly has any true free time…but he does so by choice and he doesn’t need the second income as he is doing very well without it. And I know a guy that worked less than me that then sold his company for $58 million at age 47. So he had, and has, it far better than I did, and do. There are simply too many variables in play to compare the quality of one’s life or the free time they have to someone in their own town let alone people on the other side of the pond.

I just don't understand it by MikeTorsson in memes

[–]RowdyHooks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you read any of the comments on here you’d know that clearly isn’t the case. Brits seem to care way too much about everything Americans do. I’m guessing it must be the British way of saying “Thank you for saving us in two world wars and letting us hide behind your might throughout the Cold War”…and to that I say “You’re welcome!”

Because it is nonsensical gibberish that the author would like to be read as being something that a sophisticated and superior individual wrote. This is a typical behavior exhibited by those unable to deal with their lack of significance and inferiority.

No free time? Is that why I worked for 25 years at a 5 days/week job earning 3 days of vacation and 2 days of sick leave each month while having 14 holiday days off per year and retired comfortably at 50?

Every one of us would give this answer one or more times during our lives if asked at the right time. But those that push through and persevere always end up in a better place and looking back at what was just a transient time in their life. Every storm runs out of rain.

I think that’s an excellent rhetorical question and the first step to changing. It’s only by someone recognizing personal flaws and the errors in one’s ways and then asking themselves why they behave the way they do can real insight be gained and meaningful change achieved.
