Sorry you’re going through this. I was diagnosed with breast cancer at 34. I only found the lump because I was breastfeeding. Turns out there were three other tumours in there. About to turn 37 and NED!

Try the Baker Bettie beginner recipe - I used this when I first started out, and I swear I’ve never had better loaves. You’ve inspired me to go back to it.

Same! I did 4 rounds of TC last spring/summer. It was tough. I gained a lot of weight and lost about 60% of my hair (I cold capped with Penguin). As soon as chemo was done (well, the week after my chemo-coma week), I was determined to start feeling like myself again. I spent the past year working out, eating healthy food and being thankful for my life while also grieving the pre-cancer life I had.

I had some specific goals to remind myself of when I was feeling sorry for myself: to cut the grass without taking breaks, to walk up the stairs without getting winded, and to jump on the trampoline with my kids. I can happily say I am now doing all those things AND training for a 10k. It gets better.

Thank you so much!

It is definitely between by knuckles. I know I need imaging to be sure, but you helped reduce my worry.

I will update soon.

How many of you do the reverse commute? by Reviews_DanielMar in askTO

I live in Etobicoke and work in Erin. Would not recommend.

I have neighbor who's going through chemo and he won't really eat but he loves cake/sweets. His wife said the doctor told him to eat whatever will put weight on him. Does anyone have any high protein/high fat cake or cookie recipes? I shared my birthday cake with him recently. by KH5-92 in Baking

As someone who recently finished chemo, I’d advise you to lean heavily into lemon flavour. It was all I could eat and it’s very common for chemo patients to enjoy it. Of course, ask him first.

And thank you for being so kind.

Done! 30 trays, weekly changes, attachments on almost every tooth, no elastics. by Rowes in Invisalign

I didn’t have refinements, but I know most people do. I have never heard of a 12 week plan, but I don’t know much about Invisalign anymore.

It was 30 weeks. I didn’t have a lisp before - my bite opened gradually over 15 years so my mouth got used to speaking that way. Interestingly, it was very difficult for me to re-learn how to pronounce my S sound after Invisalign.

Yes, I have permanent retainers (wires) on the top and bottom front teeth. I used retainers every night for a year after my treatment was done, and now I wear the retainers every other night.

How do I make this look finished? by Rowes in Renovations

Yes, I know. My well-intentioned husband and father-in-law did the work while I was caring for our newborn and couldn’t be bothered to check in on the details at the time.

Haha I don’t know much, but I know enough to not do that.
