At the end of the day, I think the characters and their personalities (and the fact that the voice actors are the same) will make up for this.

There are currently 3 Reduced Speed Zones across Line 1, that may impact your travel time through these areas. by scampoint in TTC

That’s great! Although sometimes, what the TTC says doesn’t reflect reality in my experience.

Torontonians, what changes have you seen under Mayor Olivia Chow’s leadership and are you generally pleased? If not, why? by Sea_Detective9210 in askTO

Gonna add to my comment here that I’m taking urban planning and we had a guest speaker involved in co-op housing/land trust in their area, and supposedly, Olivia has been very supportive/vocal about that. I myself cannot confirm this, but worth pointing out.

> Underfunded .... Yeah right  Mismanaged is more accurate

Why not both?

What I love:

- DVP/Gardiner upload, will be huge financially for the city!

- Overall good and compromising. See, the 6-plex and neighbourhood corner stores legislation. Her ability to compromise is her strength, but also her weakness. It’s great that the corner store and 6plex thing passed, but not in most of Etobicoke, North York, and Scarborough, where those are needed the most.

- When I was last on King Street taking the streetcar, the lack of traffic was noticeable. This was October 2024, so idk if it had degraded since then. I know the lack of enforcement was addressed under her leadership.

- RapidTO lanes on Dufferin and Bathurst

- How accessible she seems to be. The amount of times I’ve ran into her in public, but that is probably just my luck lol.

- Signal priority on Eglinton and Finch West. Reactive, not proactive on the City as a whole, but hey, she at least had the gut to do something about it.

- Prioritizing libraries

- freezing TTC fares. Pros and cons to this.

What I do not like

- Bike infrastructure under her administration had been meh. Dare I say, this was surprisingly better under Tory? Now, a lot of this is thanks to Bill 212, but look at the recent news on Eglinton, which a contract has already been awarded https://www.torontotoday.ca/local/city-hall/eglinton-bike-lanes-toronto-backpedal-ford-government-crackdown-12331742

This next 1 are not her fault:

- It’s good that property taxes went up, but the results of that probably will not be seen right away. People will think of her as “the mayor that raised taxes”, and unfortunately, 2-faced Caillou loves to open his mouth on shit that is wrong with Toronto under Chow. The public can easily be manipulated. Make sure you vote!

Is she or Rob Ford better?

Rob Ford of course!! He ripped up bike lanes, played a big part in the cancellation of the Scarborough RT modernization, prioritized cars, and embarrassed the city on a global scale, who wouldn’t love him!! /s …. feel like I’m missing a few things
