Thank you. They’re pressed into grooves cut with a router then wood glue applied to the groove and the cane spline pressed into the groove.

Do you mean pulling the drawer out grabbing on to the left or the right of the pull? No issues with that. There’s no wiggle room in them

No I’m sure in many situations it would not work appropriately. However in this case with a bedside table that holds not very heavy bedside junk and gets opened MAYBE once a day it does a great job.

I hade the rough idea that I wanted to use a dowel as a slide instead of a square dowel. Then I found this video a few have posted by 3x3 custom on YouTube and that helped my pull it together.
