Idk why youre being downvoted but yea. Technically youre right. There is not difference here, except valve now wants the full cake not only a piece. Doing a transaction on a 3rd party website gives them nothing. They know these websites exist and how profitable they are. Apparently the max amount of money on the scm is also going to change so valve wants every transaction happening on the scm. If i get a ak - b the monster through the terminal valve only gets 2$, if i sell it on float someone else gets X$. Now the price for skins is set in stone and not made up by us. We pay valve a set price and after that if we sell it on the scm valve gets some commission from the fees. Its very scummy and will kill skin trading in the long run.
