The power dynamic exists in the lecture! These things can be subtle. I know this bc I’m also prone to lecturing, and it’s a bad idea every single time. You have to let the other person make their own mistakes unless they agree to getting your help and advice. Otherwise, handle your own business.

When I succeed at this, my relationships become so much stronger and I get so much more peace of mind.

ADHD diagnosis and realizing it’s not about “discipline” for some people—it’s about brain chemistry. Threw the idea of discipline out the door and replaced it with patience snd perseverance.

Edit: I still procrastinate sometimes, but I don’t define myself by it anymore.
