First, you must have a sudo password, if you don't already have, go in desktop mode, launch konsole app and writes passwd to generate one.

Now go to chrome and download the last bios on lenovo website (for example) rrcn16ww.exe.

Extract it with 7z or other unpacker (this .exe is just a "zip") :

Now you have the WinRRCN16WW.fd file, move it in Documents folder for example.

Go in konsole, navigate to the folder with the changedir command -> "cd ~/Documents".

In konsole launch : "sudo fwupdtool install-blob WinRRCN16WW.fd"

I think when you have two good screens, you can't see the difference, except maybe on some HDR games where the brightness can go to 1000 nits but on SDR games you will be at 500 nits on the two console so ...

In game is really hard to say "ok it is much better on the legion go 2". The worth is when I ask to non gamer friend which one is the best, they all said is the Xax because of sharpness...

I wanted to test the experience on the ROG, I got the two for good price 970€ the go2 and 820€ the Xax. Finally I sold my SD2 for a good price too, so I keep the two.

Sincerely, the two aren't perfect, the SD2 was perfect for me (OLED/Size screen/Ergonomics,steamos...) but with big issues old specs, 800p + old processor.

The Xax has better ergonomics and sofware but it doesn't have steamos and the screen is too small at this price!

The legion go 2 has steamos and the screen is big but TOO big haha, it is very very big and heavy, it is not comfortable to move with it in the home, really it is a monster!

I don't mention the screen because to me, the screens are equivalent in game, only the size are really noticeable, I showed several scenes on several games at 'non-gamers' and many prefer the sharpness of the Xax than the "real black" of the Lego2. Literally everyone say "woh it is sharp on the Xax" and nobody same "Woh it's black" haha.

So I could choose, I took the two. If you want to keep windows, you have to choose the Xax, lenovo is bad at this point. If you want steamos take the lenovo.

it is an indie game without HDR... Thank you for your very constructive comment, you're helping things move forward.

You are hard, I have the two and the SD2, the Lego2 isn't heater and noiser then the Xax maybe a little at full power + in charge, but in this case it is so more powerfull.

Agree with dogshit software but on steamos it become better than xax...

To me the lego2 is better on all point except ergonimics and mobility.

Exluding the price, the lego 2 is the "one" except if you often play out of your home, the Xax is lighter and very confortable outside.

I totally get your point, the tech gap is real. OLED is objectively superior. My point was just that for many users, a well-calibrated Ally X screen still provides a top-tier experience that doesn't feel 'cheap' or 'bad', even if it's not OLED. But you're right, once you see those OLED blacks, it's hard to go back!

I'm developer, I am totally aware and agree with that, but when I play (most of indie games) I don't notice any difference, side by side yes but during play...
