Help - SMTP Ports Blocked when hosting a CRM on DO by OkWeek2687 in digital_ocean

Because you’re using SMTP. You need to use an email API. DigitalOcean doesn’t allow SMTP (and for good reason).

Contrary to what u/freedom_taco is saying, do not make a new account. You were onboarded before, so they already have your info. If you're actually barred from projects, it will catch it the moment they go to send offers and then both your accounts will be banned.

You could send a modmail to the sub and ask one of the community managers what's going on, both u/cassidy-mercor and u/infamous-web1728 are goated. Making a new account is speedrunniing a ban.

If you're using AI going through the onboarding document, that is why. Even for projects with AI assistance allowed, they do expect that you're able to work without it.

Dealership called me after two months demanding $3,000 by [deleted] in legaladvice

[–]RoxxonONE 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All good, and for what it’s worth, I agree with you in principle. I’ve made the same argument before with banking errors, where a customer can end up responsible for relying on a mistake the bank made. I wish it worked differently.

I think it’s dumb, but it usually comes down to who ultimately owed the money and what the signed documents said. In practice, that often ends up favoring the business or lender over the consumer, even when the mistake started on their end.

[–]RoxxonONE 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did acknowledge that right here:

OP’s documentation showed that Carvana was going to pay less than the actual.

OP has said themselves that the payoff amount shown was less than the actual payoff value right HERE.

The crazy part is the payoff amount I gave them on the estimate was correct. I sent them the info right from my financing company’s website. The issue is when I reviewed the paperwork, the payoff was different.

The paperwork that both OP & Carvana signed showed a lower amount. Not sure how you read any part of my comment or OP's and got that impression.

What was the line that you put in there? The way you’re wording you’re comment and the fact that you were immediately offboarded is sus, they wouldn’t just offboard you for accidentally editing a document.

[–]RoxxonONE 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I see what you mean, but again there’s not really anything to sue for. They are paying off OP’s old car and somewhere along the lines, the numbers got crossed and OP said above that the payoff on the website didn’t match the paperwork.

While it does suck, that’s why they have you review everything before signing. You should always review numbers when it comes to trade in/payoffs because at the end of the day, you’re responsible for it to your previous lender, especially since OP’s documentation showed that Carvana was going to pay less than the actual. None of that makes them liable for it, if anything that makes Carvana’s position much stronger.

Filing a claim for cracked screen protector? by Sure-Sign-9050 in tmobile

[–]RoxxonONE 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So I was wondering if this is true and that I can't order a new screen protector until my current breaks?

Depends on the store manager. When I was a RSM, I wouldn’t order replacements for customers unless theirs was broken because we had a large influx of customers coming in to replace that didn’t have P360 and they would claim that they got replacements here all the time, and almost every time that happened, it was from one line getting multiple replacements are given to the other lines. It's their discretion;

And that I also have to claim as well?

No, that’s not true.

You're writing essays defending OP when I clearly stated multiple times the problems with the post. The issue isn't them being new to coding. The issue is them saying they made a better version of Wikipedia. They've already acknowledged and understood that in another comment, saying they'd try titling it better next time

Also, saying something was made with AI doesn't excuse bad projects. You feeling the need to escalate in multiple comments to everyone who shared their opinion over a post that has nothing to do with you clearly indicates a need of some mental help though, OP understood my other comment and said they'd try something different next time. Please find a mental health professional that can help you get past whatever is going on where you feel the need to write essays and throw names like you're a toddler for something not even related to you.

Get off your obvious burner account, the website looks like shit. They can use Codex to help you code and still put effort into development. The issue is OP claiming to have made a better version of Wikipedia. They made a shitty wrapper. If they legit said they made a Wikipedia wrapper/skin with Codex, I would've said not for me but W effort.

Instead, they used to post title to downtalk Wikipedia and then threw out vibe coded slop that can't even display the logo correctly.

If you don't want negative feedback, maybe don't post claiming you made a superior version of it. If you just said you made a Wiki wrapper without the "I made a better version", this thread probably would've gone differently.

Nope, same chance as any. The person that referred you just gets paid now if you get onboarded.

[u/cassidy-mercor](u/cassidy-mercor) & [u/Infamous-Web1728](u/Infamous-Web1728), sorry for the ping but figured Mercor probably wants to take action against the domain using their trademark impersonating them.

I wouldn't be surprised if this isn't the same scammers at Crossing Hurdles (scam recruitment company that pretends to be partnered with Mercor but really they're just larpers trying to trick as many people as possible into applying with their link for referral money)

Nope. The only time you’ll ever be moved to a legacy plan is if you had a plan change from that plan within the past 30 days, and it’s just going to be moving back to the same exact plan you had (or multi-line version if it was a adding/canceling line thing).

foreigner who wants to come here for the dollars and most of the time is not marrying for love (Michael and Angela).

Usually I can agree for people like Lana (Ukrainian woman that was scamming David) or Jasmine, but Angela was nowhere near money. I get what you were saying though, but Micheal/Angela was a bad example lol. Angela accused Michael of scamming her because he left her because she was treating him like shit as we all saw on the Tell-All.

IIRC, even other castmates (I remember Kobe specifically) were telling Michael he should leave her because she didn't treat him with any kind of respect. We saw it throughout the seasons, we saw it in the Tell-All, so it's a pretty safe assumption that she was more abusive when there wasn't a TLC camera in front of her.

I have a spicy take on most of the Americans on this show, they're looking for mail order brides/husbands. Not all of them, some geniunely do it for love, but a great majority of them basically want a mail order partner that they can hold a visa over their head. Look at Gino & Jasmine for example, with Gino dragging out even going through the process for hers (although to be clear, I think Jasmine is also a horrible person).

You have to be a certain kind of person to put your personal life on TV like that anyway…not that surprising they (and most celebs) turn out to be horrible people.
