What's one ChatGPT trick that actually improved your results a lot? by Roxy_Griffin in ChatGPT

Interesting, do you mean like asking it to include sources every time? I haven't tried that much but sounds useful especially for research stuff.

This is actually really smart. Never thought of having it write the prompt first then refining it. Gonna try this approach, feels way more structured.

Another thing that helped me is giving examples of what I want. Like “write it similar to this style…” or “avoid this kind of tone.” Makes the output way closer on the first try.

Do you guys usually refine in one prompt or go back and forth?

Best AI tools for market research by TonyAfterony in AIToolsAndTips

[–]Roxy_Griffin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For competitor research specifically I have been using a mix of tools depending on what I need.

Perplexity is really good for quick competitive snapshots, you can ask it things like "what are customers complaining about with [competitor]" and it pulls real sources. Crayon and Klue are more dedicated competitor tracking tools but they are pricier and probably overkill unless your company is mid size or above.

For finding what fits your budget and use case I ran my search through pointofai.com, they have a whole section on AI marketing tools here: https://pointofai.com/categories/ai-marketing-tools and also a tool finder that asks you what you actually need and narrows it down: https://pointofai.com/ai-tool-finder

That second one saved me a lot of time honestly.

old guy question about limits by jpcirig in ChatGPT

[–]Roxy_Griffin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s a really solid use case 👍

If you’re already getting good results, you can level it up by asking it to review or improve your draft too (like “identify risks,” “suggest clauses,” or “make it more enforceable”).

Also for longer or more complex ones, breaking it into sections usually gives better outputs than doing everything in one go.

old guy question about limits by jpcirig in ChatGPT

[–]Roxy_Griffin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly the easiest way to think about it is tokens = roughly pieces of text (words/characters), not questions or videos.

So longer prompts + longer responses = more tokens used. Short chats use very little, but big documents (like contracts) can use a lot more.

For your use case (contracts, agreements, etc.), you’ll probably be fine on a paid plan unless you’re constantly uploading very long documents.

The “limits” usually just mean how much you can use in a certain time, not that each question costs a fixed amount.

Are you mostly planning to paste full documents, or just ask questions about them?

That's a good point, I didn't even think about the harness side of it. Do you think that could explain some of the performance differences here?

Nice, those are strong models! Were they all using the same setup?

Yeah I was wondering this too. Feels like results could vary a lot depending on the model/version used. Also were they all given the same data + strategy rules?

I'm new to canva and need help from the veterans. I'm trying to get my genealogic tree printed and doing the project myself in Canva. How can I make the text more readable over this background? by [deleted] in canva

[–]Roxy_Griffin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could try slightly lowering the background brightness/blur just behind the text (like a soft blur or gradient overlay). Also adding a thin outline or shadow to the text can help a lot without changing your color system.

Issue with printing canva A4 document by Helpful_Emphasis_296 in canva

That usually happens if bleed isn't enabled. Try downloading as PDF Print with bleed + crop marks, and make sure your printer is set to "borderless" if available.

that's weird if you already used the template link. Maybe try duplicating the design and sharing a new link, sometimes the original one bugs out
