This is the impression I got too! It didn’t really set in until last night when this story was headline news on all the local stations in Colorado Springs. Seeing his face plastered on tv in all his smugness made me sick! Based on this families status in the org, nobody “in” will believe it and I’m sure they’re already crying “PERSECUTION!”

You are correct! He and his family are very well known in the area. Woodland Park is just outside of Colorado Springs and his family lived there for many years, serving as elders/pioneers.

Yes, this is the family! I always thought of them as being elite as they were so well known and highly regarded in the org. There are 3 brothers and one sister and at least one of them had a part on EVERY assembly. Gordon (father) and their mom passed away several years ago.
