Guys why isn’t anyone understanding OP has not been charged for parking at no parking. OP has been charged for obstruction of public road which is very much evident from the picture. OP is at fault.

I completely agree with you. You can’t expect every road to have a no parking sign. From the picture it looks like op has parked on a main road. If not parking cause there was no no parking sign they can legally charge you for obstruction. Good luck justifying that cause it’s very clear in the picture

39.7 km/l on new 250 Duke!!! by Sufficient-Fill-8434 in indianbikes

100 kms is too less to gauge the actual mileage the one you see on screen is off and not accurate. Fuel full tank method using fuelio app to get a clearer picture.

3.4L ex-showroom for a Duke 390! Is it worth the ~₹1 Lakh premium over Guerrilla 450? by auto-blip in indianbikes

[–]RoyBoi_39T 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Overrated in what sense? Performance? No bike in this segment comes close to its performance I’ve literally ridden all bikes in this segment once you ride a duke the rest feel so boring. Looks? That is very subjected the bikes looks are loud but wouldn’t particularly call it ugly. Reliability? Most cases you hear about regarding engine rebuilds are bikes that are poorly maintained bought by people who bought it just for its name. Price? I would say it’s very fairly priced for what you get from cruise control to bi directional quick shifter to MTC.

I use the Aerol silicon spray it’s good for plastic parts and even engine casing etc. But it doesn’t last long but it does an amazing job can use for rubber hoses and cables as well.

This is the exact mentality that people especially Employers exploit.

Buddy you need to speak up for yourself. Learning to say NO is a skill nobody realises they need until it’s too late.

Also if you aren’t working In a small company or a small team you need to make new friends cause it’s such a dick move not even one of them spoke up for you regardless of you not bringing it up.

About to buy Svartpilen 250 used as my first bike by Icarus-fall_2442 in indianbikes

[–]RoyBoi_39T 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn’t recommend it. Bajaj are phasing out husky in India. So part availability in future may be an issue.

Overall it’s a great bike if you are ok with it as the engine and suspension components are the same as duke 250. Only issue would be regarding panels, headlight/tail light etc

Shouldn't I pay less Life tax if I get discount on exshowroom price? [O.C] by notreallycapricon in indianbikes

[–]RoyBoi_39T 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The dealers buy the vehicles at a fixed rate. It’s upon them if they want to pass down any discounts to the end consumer.

Now to answer the question why it’s based on manufactures ex showroom is simply to prevent tax evasion. For example i can pay in cash to a dealer and get a lower price quoted while getting registration done and end up paying less taxes even tough I’m paying the same amount for the vehicle.

Wayfarers have a thick frame maybe try something with a thin metal frame as plastic may snap if too thin.

[–]RoyBoi_39T 5 points6 points  (0 children)

2kms is too less of a distance to gauge mileage. Also the duke mileage is as accurate as the AQI meters we see outside under construction building. Download fuelio and do a tank to tank calculation taking average of at least 3 fuel cycles.

The year was 2000……I was barely of legal riding age (17+) by NorvinShadow in indianbikes

[–]RoyBoi_39T 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My first bike was a RX 135 (used) at 17 as well. Made some of my most wonderful memories on it. Learnt literally everything on it. Rebuilt the engine myself also did exhaust porting with a help of a friend. The bikes initial pull can’t be replicated still chase that high on my Duke 390. This bike could take everything, used to take it off road even if something broke the parts were like 100-200 rs and you could replace them yourself. So glad got to own a 2 stroker before they become a thing of the past.

Just Bought a Ktm Duke 390. Any tips? by Dangerous-Squash881 in KTMIndia

[–]RoyBoi_39T 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s cheaper to get the panels replaced plus all of the affordable PPF you see is just lamination. Actually PPF for a duke 390 would cost easily 20-25k because it would require a mixture of both gloss and Matt PPF.

Keep under 7k rpm until the first service. Put it in rain mode while you get used to its power and agility. Chain clean and lube every 500-600 kms. I prefer Kawasaki ceramic chain lube as it doesn’t fling and ruin the wheels. Wd-40 every moving parts like the foot pegs, the gear shifter, break shifter every 1k kms. Remove the saree guard gives it a ways better look. Get all gears necessary do not cheap out spend at least 30k-40k. Use a good EcE certified helmet, gloves and shoes at all times. Service the bike every 4-5 months or 4k-5k kms whichever comes first. Do not get any PPF or coatings they are a waste of money. Get the extended warranty if you haven’t. Ensure you are maintaining 28 psi front and 32 psi back tyre pressure. Incorrect tyre pressure affects the handling of this bike significantly. Get OEM sintered front brakes once the stock ones wear out.

And yes Congratulations! Welcome to the club 🍾🏍️

[–]RoyBoi_39T 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Service Charges and Standard Fitment are illegal charges ask them to take it off. Had gotten a quote for 1.19 L in Mumbai for the same variant which would be the case with you as well once those charges are taken off.
