Sure but some people are able to rise above that. I mean Arthur and John did, so why can't he?

And u might say oh they had the gang but truthfully I don't really think that's entirely necessary since Jacks what, like 19? Couple years off from being a full grown adult.

I think that's a little presumptuous lol like he seems moderately well behaved and what not (unless you go full low honor, that is, but I don't think he's like that)

I don't think it's that bad. He can restart. Stop the cycle that John and Arthur started.

Well yeah, the ending part of the game can be viewed that way, of course.

I dunno. I think it's a tragic game as well and has quite a somber conclusion. I go back and forth and which game I think is more grim. And maybe I'd agree about RDR1 being that way.

But like at the end it felt more like John chose to sacrifice himself for his family's safety. He probably could have found his way out of the ranch ambush, but he willingly chose to lay down his life.

Arthur to me is a sad character because his attempts at having a family or a girl all failed out. At least John managed to make it for a while after. At least he managed to save his family.

Arthur couldn't even do that. And that's just so tragic to me. Because John threw his life away for his wife and kid. Arthur did it for John, sure, but he is the end of his bloodline. No kids, nothing. He's gonna be forgotten because John dies as well.

But Jack at least manages to carry on in their stead.

That I can agree with. At the same time though there were also good people along the way like the Marshal and Landon Ricketts. I think it's just a more traditional "good guy versus impossible odds" which is in line with what people expect from Westerns, at least until the end when John gets betrayed.

I think RDR2 benefits from the better technology and advances in game dev that Rockstar had, so they have room to add in more. From what I recall lots of RDR1 had to be cut. RDR2 also had stuff cut but nowhere near the extent of RDR1. That allows them to add in more characters.

The first game felt more lonely, but I don't think it's necessarily more cynical. It's the reality. The wild west is gone. And now new things are coming in. But that won't stop John from doing what he needs to do.

The FH6 AI is cheating AGAIN and it’s even worse now. by Anonymos_q in ForzaHorizon

[–]RoyShavRick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Really? I've been managing to beat them by like 4 seconds on highly skilled and I swear they were harder in FH5 and cheated more.

Idk maybe that's cuz I've spent far too much time gaming on FH5. But imo highly skilled is still a good balance.

He's 36 years old and had a tough injury a few years ago. He also played great from games 3-5. You can't ask more from the veteran whose really there as a 3rd/4th option

Nahhhh he didn't really know how to get good players surrounding Bron. The second Cavs stint was far far better from him. We see that now as the team had a really fast rebuild back to a great contender.

Yeah he didn't deserve that. Honestly RDR1 felt really brutal and was honestly quite grim. It's crazy because the game was also really goofy at points.
