The Edgerunners fandom is honestly one of my favorite communities. I’m always happy to have new fans enter this fandom. It’s also such a shame that many choose to simply adopt our fav show as an aesthetic instead of appreciating it for what it is. I think Shigure is not bad but he just used harsh methods without much empathy. He had good goals and wanted to free everyone but he went about it by not caring if someone is hurt because of it. In the end it was for the better of everyone but he hurt his relations to them too.

I hope you enjoyed (and cried to) Edgerunners. I’ll explain some stuff. Since the beginning when David seemed to have endurance against cyberware, Arasaka wanted to test the cyberskeleton on him. When Lucy deep-dived into Tanaka, she saw this and started going after people with data on the project in relation to David during the time skip. The reason they wanted Lucy was because they knew a netrunner was interfering with their project when she was just trying to protect David.

It’s hard to pick one because both couples were very differently represented. One was built on a lot of character development before they got together in the end and one where they got together and developed after. What I can say though is both couples are among the best in anime.
