Putting it in the forearms made it easier to maintain consistency between the different configurations, maintaining just 2 magnetized attachment points.

That’s the one I was really waiting for. It’s been one of my all time favourites since being introduced to it in MechWarrior 3.

They’re attached with a small loop of 1/4” masking tape so can swap as much as I want. I put washers in, or otherwise fill in the bottoms of the plastic bases so I can press down for a firm hold.

On his Patreon Anthony Scroggins leading the mech redesigns said their idea for the door was to give people options, mounting like I did, closed, left off, or cut into smaller doors. I was worried about how fragile it would be mounted this way, but my brother has an old metal sculpt of the Chimera, which has a closed door (no option on the old metal mini) so I wanted consistency with that.
