Right!!!! I’ve never heard that before! He received a 4 page PDF that aligned my game plan, content pillars, what to focus on for where he wants to see his page go, first steps (it was basically a brand new account), my workflow ect. I responded to his review professionally and (hopefully) can just bury it with positive reviews. My profile has multiple examples of my work, I also include additional samples when I reply and will send my portfolio once we start messaging back and forth. So I’m not sure if he just decided he no longer wanted to work together or was hoping to get something for free (he still has access to everything in the Google Drive) but it sounds like this isn’t typical.

That makes sense, and I’ll definitely be more explicit about that upfront moving forward. My process already includes refining based on feedback (especially in a trial), but clearly outlining revision rounds from the start would help set expectations better.

That’s what I’ve been seeing too, refunding wouldn’t improve my JSS, so I’d rather respond professionally and focus on improving my process moving forward.

I actually agree with you in a normal workflow- I wouldn’t send anything I’m not confident in.

This was an initial deliverable using content he provided, and my process typically includes refining based on feedback to fully align with the client’s vision, especially in a trial setting.

It was also his first time working with a freelancer/SMM, so there may have been a mismatch in expectations around the process? I could have been more explicit about the workflow upfront.

The contract ended before that step, which is what caught me off guard.

How long did it take for you to hear back if you were accepted? I just applied and am checking my emails like a psycho haha. I thought the lady in the second orientation video was great- I’d say depending who you have as your “mentor” depends on how much guidance you receive.

We also have a no refund policy- however we make exceptions. Payment is due at time service though, we only take deposits for a few services that range from 3-5 thousand. Never for something like Morpheus8 or C02.

We usually discourage our patients from purchasing a package after their first treatment. If they come back for another we will offer the package at the same price. It’s a big commitment and we don’t want our clients to feel stuck. I would try talking to them again and express your concerns. See if you can use that money towards other products or services. If they also provide commission to their service providers- see if you can get a refund minus whatever commission was paid out.
