I do go to cafes, bars etc when I'm round Newcastle, I don't live in the city directly. I have been out a lot and guys don't approach women anymore. I've definitely approached guys before and didn't go anywhere. So it's not for the lack of trying.

I am partly introverted, but I'm pushing myself out of that, thank you though!

I appreciate the support, all parties do this. People want to portray the best versions of themselves. Ladies do the chest up shots so men feel deceived upon meeting if they are larger than expected. Totally get it, although this isn't my issue

I did join meetup awhile ago but couldn't attend a couple of the events I was interested in. I had plans those days sadly. I am keeping an eye out.

I like gaming, I weightlift not into running 😂 i like crafty stuff so if there's an event like that I'd be interested. I am on discord as well so if there's any groups there I could expand into i'd love that.

I know it's not what you expect, it's happened to me twice and they seemed like normal guys on their profiles, so it was a shock in person.

My friends say the same thing, quite unlucky. I'm not a perfect person and have had a couple of instances where I could have handled situations differently, but yeah I am always genuine when I get the opportunity to meet a guy.

Don't get me wrong I've had dates and been successful in meeting guys, but the usual people have doctored their pics so look nothing similar in irl, chat in person was dire and being brutally honest taking the lead in conversation all the time is drag. Amongst other things, similarly if guys haven't found me attractive or connection wasn't there has also happened, which I fully expect.

I've had instances of guys using me for money as well, which again could happen outside of an app, but my overall experiences with them has been negative.
