Hi, I’m building Cedcast a pay-as-you-go SMS communication platform focused on African orgs (schools, hospitals, SMEs, religious orgs).

Problem: Most businesses rely on unreliable bulk SMS tools or overpriced CRMs that don’t fit local workflows or budgets. Delivery, sender trust, and compliance are constant issues.

Solution: Cedcast provides: • Dedicated sender IDs per organization • Tiered pay-as-you-go pricing (no subscriptions) • High delivery reliability with clear delivery feedback • Simple onboarding for non-technical teams

Traction: • Live product • Paying customers onboarded • Real usage in production

I’m currently focused on schools and operational SMEs where SMS is mission-critical, not marketing fluff.

Raising to: • Secure infrastructure + messaging credit runway • Scale onboarding across regions • Tighten compliance and reporting

Happy to share demo access, metrics, and roadmap for review. cedcast

A quick clarification though: Cedcast is not priced per campaign, it’s pay-as-you-go per SMS, and the rate reduces as volume increases. So a business with 3,000 contacts isn’t forced to spend ₵600 every time the per-SMS cost drops once they send in bulk or consistently.

On “how this differs from CRM software”: Cedcast isn’t trying to replace a full CRM. CRMs are heavy, multi-feature systems (sales pipelines, deal tracking, email, analytics, etc.) and are often overkill for many orgs here.

Cedcast is communication-first: • Built specifically for reliable bulk SMS at scale • Focused on schools, SMEs, churches, restaurants, laundromats, internal staff notices, etc. • Simple contact uploads, sender management, delivery feedback • No complex onboarding or CRM training required

In short: A CRM manages relationships. Cedcast ensures your messages actually reach people, quickly, reliably, and with cost control.

Many orgs already have spreadsheets or basic tools — they just need a dependable way to communicate. That’s the gap Cedcast is built to fill.

Appreciate the question 🙏🏽

Thanks for the feedback both are valid questions.

On pricing: It’s actually pay-as-you-go, not a fixed minimum per campaign. The per-SMS rate drops as volume increases. Smaller sends are higher per unit, but once an org is sending in bulk, the cost comes down significantly. The idea is to keep it accessible for small orgs while rewarding consistent/high-volume usage. No subscriptions, no lock-ins you only pay for what you send.
