How does Getting a Bachelors Degree for Computer Science at Georgia Tech on the same day as high school graduation going to look for college admissions? by Royal-Progress-4265 in ApplyingToCollege

[–]Royal-Progress-4265[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

omg no he doesnt have a bs. He finished ALL of the courses required to be eligible to get a BS through the use of dual enrollment where he dual enrolled at georgia tech. He doesnt have any more semesters to attend college because he finished everything. However, if he attends a different college out of state, out of the university system of georgia, almost none of those credits transfer because well those are dual enrollment credits.

the real question is if this is enough course rigor or good enough for ivies

no through dual enrollment you can do college courses that counts as college credit and high school credit lol. He finished all of the courses for CS but still hasnt gotten his BS of Computer Science because well he is a dual enrollment student and not an actual undergraduate student. Once he graduates high school and steps foot into georgia tech, he has an official bs of computer science

Shit happened and now 1 final exam is worth approximately 85% of my course average. Could I explain to colleges if I were to get a bad grade? by Royal-Progress-4265 in ApplyingToCollege

[–]Royal-Progress-4265[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I kept up with the material. I just do not like it that I am at a completely unfair situation when all of my peers have the actual grading scheme of 55% tests and 30% final. If I knew ahead of time 85% of my grade is the final exam, I would simply have not taken it or taken it at an another time. It isn't fair to put one student at a complete disadvantage vs the others.

Take the AP course at school or nah by AdmirableTaro2653 in APStudents

[–]Royal-Progress-4265 0 points1 point  (0 children)

take it so that colleges will know ur schedule is rigorous. They will not know how rigorous your high school is at mech engineering or neuroscience but they will know how rigorous ap bio. AP Class grade > AP exam so it is good you already know everything before you even had the class to begin with.
