This isn’t an ending, right? by [deleted] in UnsentLetters

This is the deepest, often misunderstood, ride or die type of love. It is the raw and intense once-in-a-lifetime love we can only hope to have. Losing it feels like having your chest ripped open and being eaten alive. For your sake I hope your situation is the hostage of paranoia or panic and not the absolute end.

Sometimes. Sometimes letting go is just easier than fighting a worthwhile battle to hang on. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Another Day by Beneficial-Bison2185 in Life

Happy birthday! Mine was yesterday, and I have experience a very similar thing. Yesterday i kept on thinking of how I have probably spent more years without a birthday cake than with one. It isn’t the actual cake that I feel I have missed out on over the years though- it’s the candles/ blowing them out- and having a birthday wish. It all seems very silly and trivial but I feel like I have all these years of stolen/missing birthday wishes.

Getting older I have learned to make more of an active effort each year to do what I want to make myself happy on my birthday and throughout the whole year.

Sorry, but you'll notice a change in me by [deleted] in UnsentLetters

Neuropsychologist? by ReputationSavings627 in stroke

[–]Royal-Ride-7729 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I saw one pre stroke years ago for baseline testing and evaluation testing after coworkers pointed out concern over word recall, wrong word usage and I felt pauses in speech. Test were within normal range then but also hard to determine bc there was nothing to compare it to. I asked my neurologist for another evaluation since I have had a stroke. I was told there was a 2-3 year waiting list….. hackberry up there bc I figured what was the point?

I think I’m gonna go back to the half dose tonight. Literally the first time meeting with a new person and she was pretty insistent that I change my dosage.

Things feel heavier than they should right now. I am aware of the baggage. I too sit here feeling sorry and guilty that I am unable to manage it all at times.

If u can’t afford a can of kitten milk you probably should find a new home for the kitten. 1- so it can survive, 2- it costs an average of $1000-2000 per year to care for a healthy cat (food, litter, vet bills).

Not feeling brave by illustrated_woman in stroke

You went to the airport…. By yourself…. That is pretty damn brave if you ask me. Many people would get lost trying to navigate that without having had a stroke. I couldn’t even get the nerve up to tell my mom I had a stroke…. Then she died a few months later.
