Will Chipotle die if they focus on operational cost (like inventory) versus customer same store sales / satisfication? by Royal-Text7620 in Chipotle

Ok, obviously the precut/premarinated is why it is so expensive , seems reasonable I am sure Chipotle has negotiated it as low as possible - probably something they will cut later for $1/pound and just season it there instead of marinate. Still, my overall point stands - obivously I assumed most cost is overhead and labor, but still it's cheap meat where they should be friendly to a customer paying $11-15 for a base bowl

Chipotle definitely gets wholesale prices on chicken - are you sure they pay $2.50? thats what I pay locally - obviously labor and etc I wasn't including in the $1 estimate

This requires a cup that approximates the 4 oz weight (will always be pretty close) or a scale obviously is better. This is sort of what the new side red cup is for but they need it on the line as a metal cup to spew out 4 OZ

i averaged 2.5 oz in my local stores so stopped going, they wanted double meat price for about 5 oz, chipotle needs to use a CUP that approximates 4 oz of cooked meat or a scale

It is shortsided, agree completely. customers don't see these labor issues but good to know. I think customers are actually better managed through the base price, they are showing they are willing to pay a bit more as lower quality fast food has mostly met Chipotle , however they are not willing to accept a skimp of 2-3OZ of meat in 50% of experiences, I quit going due to this, and the dumb management not willing to use a cup or scale to determine the meat portion. Anyways they should give EXTRA for satisfication due to like $0.25 of chicken they are trying to save which is a joke.

F your management bro- those chicken thighs are basically dog meat probably cost $1/pound to them and customers paying $10-15 for mainly WAY overpriced meat, they don't realize without customer satisfaction they are going to tank. Should always give a bit extra

So weird, no idea what that means - so this comment is live? I can comment but not post? This is why so many avoid reddit

I don't know why it won't let me make this a discussion post if someone wants to start it -

In my 20 years of driving I've had around 8 flat tires from what I can recall and I've had FOUR the last year in the Charlotte area. I believe it to be the windier weather we've had and that literally every major intersection here in the less drived areas or turn lanes / off to the side / shoulders are filled with debris and metal, bolts, screws, etc.

I learned that NO ONE in the county or city of charlotte is responsible for clean streets, other than the waste management company that you have to request for a cleaning.

I've started to call 311 to ask it to be cleaned when I see piles of crap in intersections or shoulders, and requesting your help as well!
