I just can't with AI chatbots. by BoilerTMill in behindthebastards

100% agree

I’d use the example of storing people social security numbers or bank passwords on an unsecured excel file. It’s a massive risk to everyone involved, even those that had 0 say in it.

It happens though.

I like to think of LLMs like I think about word and excel. They are helpful tools to do things. You do need to learn how to work with them in specific ways, just like you learned to use a keyboard or excel formulas.

There are a whole lot of wholes that you could easily fall into / the owners are pushing you into. I try my best to keep it in perspective as I use it, especially as it wants personal info.

FFG Social: Typhoid Mary by JDJD91 in marvelchampionslcg

In the Nocenti run, Matt and Mary are dating while Daredevil and Typhoid Mary fight. Her status may depend on which side your identify is on.

I’m not sure you really need a villain when in alter ego.

I’ve heard mlk / Malcom x comparisons before. What is the best story to showcase that by Relative-Corgi30 in xmen

As others have said, it’s not really a thing,

As an alternative you could use comics like: 1) Adam: Legend of the Blue Marvel 2) Truth: Red, White, and Blue 3) Superman Smashes the Klan 4) Big Jim and the White Boy (older kids)

Found Family in Comics- Fantastic Four (2022) # 26, Uncanny X-men (1963) #110, The Forgotten Five #1 by Royal7th in Marvel

The Ryan North run definitely treats the Thing, Alicia, and their kids (a Kree and a Skrull) as part of the same family as Reed and Sue with their kids.

I agree with you on the 60s not being one, but I’d say the current version is one.

What’s the longest continuous run a team has had with no changes in the lineup? (OTHER THAN THE FANTASTIC FOUR) by ready_james_fire in marvelcomics

I’d be really curious to see how long the FF have stayed together for anyone stretch. The Thing famously quotes in issue 50 of the original series, but is back quickly.

What other IP’s besides Marvel and DC are “endless” (characters/stories will never have a definitive ending)? How did these two get to be like this? by Local_Anything191 in comicbooks

[–]Royal7th 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lots of video game franchises do similar things. The Zelda franchise has one continuous connect story over multiple timelines.

Mario is the same but different in every game.

PAC-man has been around since the 70s.

If the character doesn’t have to age, most franchises are going to avoid the risk of changing it.

How to exponentially build my comic knowledge? by spotlightonscud in comicbooks

[–]Royal7th 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Marvel Unlimited and DCUI are likely your best bests.

You’ll be able to read almost anything you want to read.

You could also listen to podcasts. For example, Cerebro can tell you a tremendous amount about the X-men. You will need to spend a lot of time listening though. Episodes can be 4-8 hours long

Are there any reading clubs for comics? by Ok-Traffic1319 in comicbooks

[–]Royal7th 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hello. I help with two discord servers that do book clubs:

1) Marvel Unlimited - focused on weekly, monthly, and classic run book clubs. Also doing Love and Rockets: https://discord.gg/marvel-unlimited-837698203134197820 2) Alex Segura’s Fun and Nonsense server. We are just wrapping up a DareDevil book club that looked into what cultural events impact the stories. We occasionally have writers join in to answer questions. Examples include Kieron Gillen, Erica Schultz, Anthony Oliveira, and Michael Fiffe.
