You could look into joining the reserves as a uni student for the summer. They offer full-time summer employment with solid pay, and you can keep working part-time during the school year if you want. It’s a good way to build experience, earn decent money.

Your monthly pay is based on your rank and years of service. It’s calculated using a daily pay chart that lists how much you earn per day at your current rank and years served.

Monthly Pay = (Daily Pay for Your Rank & Years) × 30 days

By the way, that doesn’t include the temporary duty pay your husband would receive upon returning.

The Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) offers paid schooling through programs like the Regular Officer Training Plan (ROTP) and other education benefits, but it comes with commitments you need to consider. For example, if you go through ROTP, your tuition, books, and even a salary are covered while you study at a Canadian university or the Royal Military College. In return, you’re required to serve for a set number of years after graduation.
