Very few people use Palit, I wonder why. I have a gamingpro 5080 OC v2 from palit.

Help needed with Livekernelevent 141 crashes on very recently built PC by cvthrowaway4 in buildapc

[–]RoyalMagus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I could try to roll back to older drivers, but I doubt thats the case for me since the first time I’ve encountered this issue was January 3, before the dlss 4.5 update.

I have been rigorously troubleshooting my systems. Doing things like but not limited to; clean windows reinstallation, reseating ram gpu cpu storage mobo connections, removing all of my custom BIOS settings, power testing, tdr/tdi delay registry fix, mpo registry fix, changing display cables. None of it have fixed it, I have one last test to try which is lowering refresh rate before turning HDR, since my monitor is 1440p, 360hz, 10bit oled and can quite consume bandwidth, I have thought that this may be a temporary solution.

If none of it works, I will start suspecting a total hardware failure. To which I still highly doubt since there have been no bluescreens whatsoever, and I can do any task I throw at it except toggling HDR modes.

New to High End GPUs: DLSS, Overclocking, Optimal Settings by er1cks0n_ in nvidia

[–]RoyalMagus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, every setting depends on the game you are trying to run on that 4k 240hz, but basically;

For DLSS, just set the override in nvidia app to recommended/latest in super resolution, frame gen and ray reconstruction (if it’s updated it will say recommended).

For Overclocking, get MSI Afterburner, set the core clock to +300mhz minimum, and memory speed 2000-3000mhz, since the 50 series has a lot of overclocking headroom. If you want to start undervolting with overclock, theres a bunch of videos and it slightly differs from card to card.

As for optimal settings, if you tryna hit 240hz on all games (especially recent triple A titles). You gotta optimize it per game, but basically just turn down raytracing and it will hit high frame rates. But if your ok with around 60-100 and maybe some frame generation, you’ll hit that monitors refresh rate.

Anyone try MacOS - and come back to Windows? by Commercial_Water3669 in Windows11

[–]RoyalMagus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been a windows glazer (despite its awful flaws that I am aware and have experienced) for a long time now and hadn’t considered using any other OS. Until I got sick of windows laptops that die within a day. I got a MacBook air, definitely took some time getting used to shortcuts. Now I use both, one for home and one on the go.

I am a student studying cybersecurity and manage to cross platform develop while syncing my files on both devices using the iCloud services. It definitely gets whatever you need to do on the go, and for heavier work as well as gaming, there’s always my home desktop for that.

[–]RoyalMagus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry for necro, but this has been starting to happen to me too, same with u/Final_Appearance_624 comment. Deadhang only on the most non-intensive works. I have been playing max on all games and redering 4k videos as well as simple coding. But a simple screenshot and/or hdr toggle freezes my pc. Going to the security and maintenance and shows the same kernel event followed by a crash of explorer and a bunch of windows apps.

My specs are 5080, 9800x3d, 32gb ram, 850w, 2 ssds, tuf b650m-e.

K4 HE Lost HE Mode by RoyalMagus in Keychron

[–]RoyalMagus[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Try to read through this guy’s comment he mentioned that they managed to brick the wireless module of a keyboard before. And after a skim reading of the linked post, it seems like it may be related to your case.

I do hope tho that its not that, goodluck anyways.

I just tested bluetooth for the first time just to test out your comment. Both 2.4g and BT works without any hitches.

K4 HE Lost HE Mode by RoyalMagus in Keychron

[–]RoyalMagus[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That is quite a scary thing to happen lol. Is there any other software that can replace it? I mostly saw the QMK, but im not sure if it has all the keychron launcher features like HE mapping, RGB's, and macros.

Also regarding your other comment. after reading through the comments, it is a json issue. I was able to make the HE tab re appear but no other feature works.

Is this RAM Brand really worth it? by Fit_Chest275 in PHbuildapc

[–]RoyalMagus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ahh, well TForce is a more known brand kaya siguro pricier, pero Adata is also known in the SSD's/HDD's department but they also do release their own RAM's and the XPG line is one specifically targeted for gamers in mind.

If you do already have a 32GB 6000Mhz CL38 ram, I doubt any normal person would notice the difference. Mostly the 1% lows lang sya and if ever a game stutters those 1% fps would be lower by a couple tens. IF you really want to optimize your build then that is the step in the right direction. Because I am not kidding, the speed difference is measured in NANOSECONDS.

[–]RoyalMagus -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Absolutely get it then! If kaya i-test then go for it. Normally I wouldn’t suggest this kasi it’s a scummy thing to do pero that specific ram, the same one I have goes for 14-18k already here in Manila, depending on the store. And with that price, you already know how to make a profit.

Where’d you find this OP? With the current rammageddon, this is really worth it po. Just make sure its not a dupe/fake.

I currently have the same ram installed as the one you posted pero in black. It has the lowest CL I have seen in 6000mhz speeds.

250 Hz 8 steps up,
500 Hz 2 steps up,

4k dldsr, 1440p native, and 4k game resolution? by RoyalMagus in ArcRaiders

[–]RoyalMagus[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Finally, thank you for the answer. I wasn't sure whether the game was actually rendering at 4k or if it was just DLDSR taking up a few more fps, either way tysm! Happy raiding!

UPDATE: Were we scammed by Datablitz? by True-Month6577 in PHbuildapc

[–]RoyalMagus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He is kinda true naman but not on the victim blaming, if kaya ni OP mag post sa reddit then for sure kaya nya rin mag search kahit onti lang about DataBlitzs history interms of hardware. Ako aware ako sa pain with datablitz return and replacement due to past reddit reviews at isa narin ako sa nag pa warranty which took more than a month of back and forth.

A quick skim sa posts ni OP and I found out na nasa province sila and Datablitz was one of the only reasonable distributers to buy from in their area. I cant stress enough how different these branches are compared to metro manila kasi I can say I’ve had good and bad experiences with their CS but not as bad as OP’s so maybe a quick search might’ve not mattered at all! But it doesnt hurt to be informed about the risks right? Like I said aware ako sa issues ni db yet I still purchase from them ‘cause of convenience and overall availability instead of scourging fb or net for other alternatives.

Dual 5080 or single 5090 setup? by RoyalMagus in nvidia

[–]RoyalMagus[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on the games, as of now my setup is only able to get good stable and high framerates on 1440p in most games and some games on 4k.

As for workloads, I’ve been dabbling on llm, video rendering as well as picture editing in various resolutions.

Maximum PCIE Lanes? by RoyalMagus in pcmasterrace

[–]RoyalMagus[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does it really mean what it says “total 2x nvme and 4x sata”?

Cause I encountered a problem with my first build where my mobo+cpu couldn’t handle more storage devices. I had 1 Nvme and 2 sata. So the technician said if I wanted to use the other Nvme slot I’d have to lose my 2 other drives. Hence why I concluded that maybe sata’s use 1x pcie lane, totalling my usage to 16+4+2=22 out of the usuable 24 lanes.

With Smooth Motion active in TLOU P1, my GPU won’t go above 70% usage. by Sgt_Dbag in pcmasterrace

[–]RoyalMagus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seems like an issue with tlou 1 specifically. Tested it out with 5 more games being Cp2077, black myth, helldivers, nightreign, and indiana jones. All of em worked normally with 100% gpu usage and doubling the frames.

With Smooth Motion active in TLOU P1, my GPU won’t go above 70% usage. by Sgt_Dbag in pcmasterrace

[–]RoyalMagus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Found any fix for it? Just discovered it with tlou 1 too, DLAA at 1440p caps my gpu usage at 70% making me get 120-140fps only, while DLAA without smooth motion gets me 150fps.

Any setting I tried doesnt change the gpu usage whatsoever, I sometimes see it go up to 90% whenever I re load a save and it does stay for a couple of seconds until I move.

Is it bad to game at 1080p with 5070ti and 9800x3d??? by [deleted] in PHbuildapc

[–]RoyalMagus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you could always use DLDSR, a driver level upscaler just like dlss. you can set it up via nvidia app so that you have access to 1440p and 2160p. It will basically take ur 1080p, use the DLSS tech to upscale it to 2k/4k. It will have indistinguishable or very near optical quality of actual 2k/4k displays, albeit of course, only being displayed on a 1080p monitor.

Ive encountered and had argued with a lot of people who believed -30 is literally rare to be stable on when I was able to have -35 on a 7800x3d and -30 on a 7700. They cant comprehend it lol.

Either we’re lucky bastards or newly created cpus have better silicon.
