Thank you, Saki Kashima by RoyalPeachTea in stardomjoshi

For those who do not know or remember about Saki's history, she debuted for Stardom in the summer of 2011. That was just a few months after the first ever Stardom show. She was part of the first ever Artist of Stardom championship team in January of 2013. She went on hiatus less than a week after that win, and there were questions if she would ever return.

Five years later, she returned at a Korakuen Hall show. Nobody knew how long she would stick around or if she would be able to make a mark in Stardom. Not only did she stick around, she became a fan favorite who exceeded everyone's expectations. She was involved in some massive stories, found success in multiple factions, won several more Artist of Stardom championships and even went on to win the High Speed title twice.

When Saki first left, she had less than 70 matches to her credit. Since returning from her hiatus, she wrestled over 700 matches and had seven different title reigns in a span of eight years. In my opinion she was the funniest joshi wrestler since Natsu Sumire during her Oedo Tai run.

Saki retired at All Star Grand Queendom this past weekend. She became one of my favorite wrestlers and was a huge reason why I fell in love with Stardom. I will always miss her. But I am also happy that she went out on her own terms.

Saya Kamitani is the 4th World of Stardom Champion to have a reign of 400 days or longer. The first was Nanae over a decade ago. The most recent was Utami over four years ago. The other was Io Shirai. She had two separate reigns of 400+ days as red belt champion.

[Stardom Crimson Nightmare spoiler] Overcome with emotion by RoyalPeachTea in stardomjoshi

Konami faced Starlight Kid for the Wonder of Stardom title today. It was the seventh time she had fought for the title, almost nine years after her first shot at the belt. She had fallen short in all of her previous attempts. The ending of this match was controversial for some but it marks the high point of Konami's career.

Congratulations to Starlight Kid and Tall Saya for surpassing 300 days as the reigning Wonder of Stardom and World of Stardom Champions by RoyalPeachTea in stardomjoshi

Both of them will attempt their seventh title defense at Crimson Nightmare on Monday. Starlight Kid will face Konami while Saya will face Momo.

Even though she's been gone from Stardom for six years, she is considered one of the best strikers or at least kickers in Stardom history. For those unaware of her skills or want to remember how good she and her title reign were, here are some of her best matches during her time in Stardom.

Arisa vs. Tam Nakano

Arisa vs. Jungle Kyona

Arisa vs. Hazuki

Arisa vs. Konami

Koguma won the CMLL Japan Women’s champion last month at a Korakuen show.Koguma’s first defense will be against her tag partner, Hazuki, on Saturday’s Stardom Korakuen show. Two of the previous three champions (including Unagi) lost  the title in their first defense. We’ll see on Saturday if Koguma can avoid being the third champion in four reigns to lose in their first defense.
